"Believe me if I could give zero stars I would and it still would be too much. This place from the beginning was questionable but has been around a long time so I reconsidered. The director was helpful for the most part but as we’re all standing there being introduced and talking, the assistant director I’m assuming was head down playing a game on her phone (she was on lunch) but still could’ve said hello.. I had two kids in their care and my younger sons teachers (Anthony and Tiffany) were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for better care from them to my younger one. My older son’s teacher Cady, the first day was awesome and patient and caring.. they had a fill in teacher, Ashley I’m assuming because Cady was out and she was horrible. I watched the camera the ENTIRE time they were there and saw how cruel and impatient and rude she was to my son. He’s 2 mind you, I know sometimes he can be a real handful but no one ever contacted me once to tell me what or how he was acting or that I need to come get him. She pushed him, PUSHED HIM TWICE, yelled at him, pointed at him in a super rude manner, snatched from him, showed other children love by hugging or playing with them and she was so cruel and cold to my toddler. After all of this the assistant director and Ashley sat there and berated my son until I got there. I left work after a half day because I couldn’t sit there and watch this woman being cold and mean to my son. She should NEVER work with children again. The director wouldn’t pull the cameras, saying how they can’t. Then why have them? For just live view? I don’t believe that one bit. I also reached out to multiple people to talk about this including the head director in Knoxville if I remember correctly and they have YET to return any call or reach out of mine. Please don’t allow your babies to go here I should’ve listened to others and followed the reviews. Again my younger son’s teachers were more then I could have asked for amazing. But for Ashley, you’re in the wrong profession. Everyone wants to trust that their babies are taken care of and unfortunately after returning home from my husband and I both being stationed across the country for years I thought I found someone who I could trust to ensure the safety and well-being of my babies and I guess I couldn’t. Find somewhere else."
"My daughter is about to leave for kindergarten after spending a little over 3 years at this location, and not to be biased but I wouldn't have taken her anywhere else. She has learned so very much especially from her current teacher- she's a blessing. For a building full of women, they always seem to have the children's best interest as priority, and when I take my girl home there's no cattiness between anyone- just smiles and goodbyes. My missing star is for the fact that the building and grounds are always needing a repair somewhere, but the director is always on top of it, and pushing for the fix ."
"This is the most unprofessional childcare facility I have dealt with. My son started their in preschool and when his preschool teacher stopped working there it became disorganized and utterly a nightmare. When we entered into Pre-K he started getting bullied almost had his head shoved in the toilet and came home with multiple bruises. When I tried to address it with directors they said it was being handled I went further went to the state and when I did that the director implied that she would have to disenroll my son. I contacted corporate as well. The bully continued and La Petite chose to side with bully. The director herself has said multiple times that she is very unapproachable. So, my question is how can you say you will solve bully when you yourself bully parents and threaten them. She used bully tactics herself. My son would cry wouldn’t want to go school. This was unfortunate when he would say teachers aren’t doing anything proactive to stop the bullying. If I could give no stars I would and highly do not recommend this La Petite for any children. As a mother I am disappointed and have pictures of marks on my child. I think this place is unprofessional and walking into the school to hear gossip about other parents is not appropriate nor professional. The lack of involvement and care as well as disrespect this place doesn’t even deserve one star. My hope is that another child doesn’t get bullied because La Petite made very clear that they take the bully’s side. So La Petites motto was not based on any value or moral standard for the kids. I am highly disappointed. As parents we want children in place there they thrive and this not it."
"We have used this daycare for just over a year and were reasonably satisfied with our choice until now. My 15 month old has been bitten no less than 16 times since January 2018. While biting is a common behavior in this age group, 16 bites are excessive no matter the commonality. Things that can be derived from this are 1. lack of adequate staffing, 2. lack of adequate management, 3. lack of ability (Callie excluded), 4. and negligence. I have emailed their corporate office who never bothered to respond to my inquiry, we have met with the director and the classroom teacher, listened to their plan to mitigate the biting, and yet here we are with another bite today. Before I continue, I should state that we truly sympathize with the class teacher because we sincerely believe that her heart and her talents are in the right career field with childcare. However, I feel that she is deserving of perhaps a better center to utilize her talents. Callie, this is in no way reflective of you but more of the lack of support, lack of concern and the love of dollars that the corporation has instead of wisely investing in child safety. Edit: I received an email response today stating that the experience we are having with the biting is not “consistent with our company’s policy or standard of care” and to please email or call with further concerns. I did email the corporate office and there was no response....that was at least 3 weeks ago. The only way I know to get this issue resolved to to bring awareness to the fact that my child continues to be bitten. Why not remove the biters from the class?? Why not schedule a parents’ meeting where all involved can share concerns. Buying a few books for the classroom doesn’t solve the problem. We were told a third teacher would be added to the room to help with staffing ratios (at least temporarily) and I have rarely seen 3 teachers in the classroom. The bottom line is this, childcare is scarce in this area and trying to find a place safe, clean, and somewhat structured is difficult. Both parents in our household must work so childcare is essential. Is it really too much to ask that my child not be bitten repeatedly?"
"I enrolled my 5 year old here recently to get him ready for Kindergartner.. I am very happy with this school. His teacher Ms. Candie is a sweet heart, she is very loving to the kids, and takes great care of them. My son has learned so many new things, even in Spanish. They have different events every day such as hat day, earth day, crazy socks day, Pijama day and more. The school director Chanell is very polite and sweet as well. I totally recommend this school, is worth the money."
