"My boyfriend and I went to sit in the sun and have a one drink and left with a $60 bill. Without our waitress ever letting us know that it was mandatory to order food, only I ordered a salad and not my boyfriend. Not only was the salad I ordered the most pathetic 4 pieces of lettuce for $15, she brought my boyfriend a salad as well and then charged for it. Instead of informing us of this mandatory food policy and letting him pick something, our waitress slyly brought a second salad and charged double. Cherry on top, I got my card out to pay and she disrespectfully turned to by boyfriend and asked him to pay. Rude waitress. Terrible food. Unfortunately will never be returning. This business won’t last long"

"I was here yesterday for the first time, I loved it and the wine was great….my husband and I recently bought a home up here and we’ll be back frequently. I have to add that the baked Brie is awesome and they even let our dog sit with us! He’s huge, an Irish Wolfhound. Thank you so much!!"

"Wouldn’t go again. Rude service. Being told after ordering a drink that it is also mandatory to order food is wrong, especially on an empty patio in the afternoon. No signs anywhere about mandatory food. Service was nonexistent. Zero personality or a single smile from the face of the “bistro”. On to food, I had better food for half the price at an airport 2 days ago. The hummus came with one stale piece of Italian bread that my dog would not have eaten. Nothing was fresh. $21.50 sandwich was similar to something you’d find in a school cafeteria and then came with an appealing ramekin of potato salad (insert sarcasm). We ordered 2 plates for the two of us and because we split both of them, received a “split charge” although also not on the menu. Lastly, when asked for the tab to pay, owner asked for credit card without providing printed tab of what we were paying for and then stood over us while we paid on tablet and tipped. Super uncomfortable experience. At least the live music was good but we could have just watched from outside the fence for free and then had a real meal. Idyllwild brew pub, cafe aroma, frattelos, Tommy’s, or literally anywhere else is better in town. Save yourself the annoyance and spend your money somewhere worth it."

"Went there 1/2/24 afternoon before drive home figured we’d try it because so many other places were closed or packed. My wife and I split a BLT, I got a beer, she had a glass of sparkling wine. Her glass came out flat. Lady kindly opened another bottle, poured a new glass. My beer was flat. Ironfire IPA. I told her my drink was flat as well. She gave some excuse that “No, it’s 33° and we just spent 20k on a new ‘“ Beer Machine “‘ it can’t be flat….” That bugged me. BLT was fine. Nothing special. Dry toast, crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato. At the end the bill came and came out to 49$ (close to) and me being such a nice guy and an idiot still left her a tip. Which total came out to $59.74 So, close to 60$ for a beer I didn’t drink, glass of bubbles, and an ok sandwich. And I’m sure I got charged a 23% tip without noticing like a previous reviewer mentioned because I didn’t check my receipt. I know I could’ve argued about my beer, could have not left a tip. But that’s my fault for being a nice guy and not wanting to hear some lame excuses from her about anything. Needless to say I won’t be going back."
