"Good neighborhood restaurant. It's not cheap, nothing is totally a stand out, but my last 5 meals there have been great and without complaint. Service is friendly and chipper, there is generally a vibrant atmosphere but I give that 4 stars for having encountered more than one stuck up older Berkeley resident who obviously wishes it was a quieter place. We will probably eat here more and more if it continues to be as predictable and reliable. Recommended. We usually opt for just starts and pasta as well, which keeps the price down."

The broccoli was the pleasant surprise of the evening: well-seasoned, great texture, and just bursting with flavor. I got the sole which had a rich buttery, zesty base with capers that complemented the rest of the dish. Cozy without feeling stuffy, knowledgable servers: a great place for a slightly more upscale dinner!"
