"I called up there to see if a $600 dollar product was available. It rang for a while then someone finally answered, (meaning the ringing stopped and I could hear the bustle of the store and breathing on the phone.) I greeted them and asked if they had this item in stock. The person on the other end of the phone began talking to someone else then put me on hold. Without any acknowledgment of my existence at all. I hung up after 5 minutes. I’ve never bought anything from northern tool before and I found they had a product I was looking for online available to order so I figured I’d go buy it in store if they had it but didn’t want to drive there if they didn’t have it in stock. I guess I’ll call another hardware store maybe their customer service is a little better. Reply to your reply: That feels a very condescending. It takes 2-3 seconds to simply say “northern tool, please hold.” Instead they answered didn’t say anything to me for 30 seconds then put me on hold for several minutes. I understand things get busy if you’re too busy to answer then just don’t answer the phone… or greet them (acknowledge their existence and tell them to hold like every other business)"
"If your employees dont wish to sale your products. Please shut down the store and let another store move in..the Stil puner i was going to buy.And just left me standing at Front counter.Then instead of coming back .he,s walking around putting up stock. Will not be back."
"Exceptional service! Stopped in here for the first time ever to pick up a new generator and was blown away by the store. There were tons of great, everyday, practical things for sale from work gloves to generators to extension cords to power washers. The store is clean and well organized with clear signage and well lit. I needed a new generator and had been eyeballing the Honda EU2200. NT price is lower than the blue, big box store so I decided to check it out. NT also offers a military discount which is very considerate of those who serve our nation. Tiffany did a great job serving me for this purchase and she even reminded me that I would need some oil for the generator (gave me the exact right kind). In addition to the generator, I bought a 100-foot HD extension cord (also less expensive than the other store). I absolutely will be back here for future purchases."
"Man this place is like grown up Toys R US. Loved the many different brands sold here and loved a hidden clearance section as well! I'm worse than my husband with buying tools, so we will be back! Only reason for 4 stars, in the batteries all of them were in the wrong spots. So what we took to the counter was priced way off from what was on the shelf. That and the service could've been more friendly. But hey I came for tools not conversation, so I really just hope they fix the stock in the wrong places!"
"Horrible experience with their repair department. Don't recommend their repair service at all. I took my walk behind saw to them for repair of the switch because the switch came apart and because the machine was not starting. They did make the machine start yet they never put the switch on. According to them it's not necessary for the switch to be on there, but how is it possible that I sent in my saw for repair and the switch was not fixed. This was obviously done because that's what came easier for them and they decided to take shortcuts and now I pay the price. After noticing that on my machine I went back in the store to complain and they decided to hide in back and not come out until I decided to continously ask for assistance. Another incident that I had when picking up my machine was that they were charging me $100 more than what they told me in the first place I asked them to check that and they were indeed overcharging me. I don't recommend their service because not only do they take shortcuts but they are also dishonest when it comes to charging."
