Reviews of Bartlett Recreation Center
"While the layout is a bit confusing, and the acoustics in the pool are awful, it is still an amazing facility and has most everything one would need"
"We had a middle school swim meet there. It was packed, to the point of no seating ANYWHERE. We ended up going up to the balcony, and it was standing room only up there as well. Parents were moving so other parents could at least see their own child swim. It was disorganized. Coaches and kids were confused and we had kids miss a team event because the announcing was almost non existent... to the point of hearing other parents say if they continued to have meets there, their child would not swim anymore. We paid a $5 entry fee, to stand up for almost 2 hours...and my so who has swam competitively for 2 years said it was the worst place ever to have a meet."
"The cost is amazing for family memberships. The splash pad is fun for the kids. However, it’s got it’s limitations depending on what you value. My wishlist includes child care and classes that are *available in the afternoon*, a barre area in the mind body studio for when that’s open, and dedicated open & quiet & dim space for personal stretching, yoga, Pilates, barre (the mind body studio is used for classes, kids camp etc and the other rooms have a shoes required policy), and generally more Pilates, barre, & yoga classes before 5 pm. The afternoon is a dead spot without classes or childcare. Also if members could look at pool availability (like when the swim team is there, when water aerobics classes are using it, when kids camp is using it, etc) and book lanes online that would be great. The website is buried in the City of Bartlett website which is not so functional and it would make more sense for them to have their own website that can be customized for a gym. Weekend hours are short which is frustrating because it’s the time most adults have more personal time for such pursuits. Thankful we have access to a lap pool and splash pad, but see places of room for improvement. If they could send out a survey for members and even non members to give feedback that would show they care what the community wants. Hoping city officials see this and care to make improvements."
"Awesome place to work out. I haven't met anyone who was in a bad mood. The facility is very clean and well maintained. They have a large selection of free weights, cable machines, and static machines. The yoga instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and easy on newcomers. The personal trainers will give you a good workout and steer you to continue on."
"For starters the management is a joke. Very small weight room that's usually crowded and the personal trainer is rude. Cardio machines are so close together your personal space is compromised. Basketball court always crowded or being used for a class using the court with only a couple of people in attendance. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Way better options out there for you and your family"
