Holiday Inn Express & Suites Millington-Memphis Area, an IHG Hotel

"UNSAFE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. 1) arrived and no one greeted me and my family. The manager on duty made eye contact with me and said nothing. 2) the 1st and 2nd floors smell wet and mildewed 3) breakfast was below mediocre and juice machine was broken 4) my vehicle was vandalized. Parked right in front of the building. Called 3 times and even talked to a manager on duty one of those times to request a review of their surveillance of the parking lot. Promised a return call from their GM and received nothing. It’s been weeks which is more than enough time."

"The employees were very friendly and respectful. The rooms were clean, but had a bit of an older. The side of a bed kind of smell like mildew. And those sheets must not have been clean or whatever, this might be funny but it kind of smelled like cooked cabbage. Bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was wonderful, fresh and hot."

"This place was awful from the very beginning. Check-in was horrendous. Rude front desk clerks. Upon arrival I was not greeted even though 3 clerks were standing there. You'd think one of them could have taken a moment to say Hello. Also, at check-in my IHG Rewards status was not acknowledged. And to round out the poor customer experience, I was lied to about room availability. I specifically requested a high floor because I am a light sleeper, but was told the hotel was "booked out" with no other rooms available. However, a quick check of hotel's website revealed rooms were indeed still available. Once, I got to the room there was an overwhelming smell of mildew. The bathroom was gross with nasty build up around the toilet and mold in the shower (see pictures) I was kept awake by the guests above me STOMPING around from 1 am until appx. 4am. The next morning, breakfast was fairly decent with a few options to choose from but the juice machine was broken. Ending this stay from hell, we went out to our vehicle the next to day to discover some one had stabbed our tire with a knife. We brought this to the attention management who promised to review the camera footage of the parking lot and get back to us first thing Monday, more than 2 weeks later and we have yet to receive a call. Also, I received an email from IHG asking that I complete a survey. I did the very next day. And they have yet to post it. I suspect the hotel does not post all of its reviews and instead cherry picks what they choose to put on their website so that they can be seen in a favorable light. Take my advice DO NOT STAY at this hotel, it is over-priced, unclean and potentially unsafe. $200 dollars for one night only to leave exhausted, hungry and $250 ($50 to fix tire) poorer"

"The hotel is nice and centrally located for our needs. Rooms are clean. Front desk service was very polite and nice. Check in and out was easy. On site breakfast is very nice with a wide variety. Coffee was fresh and remained full. They were very attentive at cleaning tables after use as more guests arrived."

"The staff and management are EXCELLENT. They always go the extra mile to provide the most comfort and help possible. They are very professional but still manage the personal touch. We stayed one night a few months before this and the staff immediately recalled us. The rooms are wonderful and always very clean. The complimentary breakfast is great. Would HIGHLY recommend."
