"Ask for a detailed itemized list of all charges when they erroneously charge your account. When Mike, Nick, Ned or the angry guy with glasses and with no customer service skills tries to tell you that they are not allowed… let them know they are required to in accordance with California Civic Code 1939.19. I had to contact the Corporate Office of Hertz to confirm I never missed a rental payment after the local office in San Diego charged my card $1344 and claimed it was for missed payments and originated with corporate. This was highly inaccurate and the Corporate Office even confirmed it was the local office that charged me for what appeared to be EV Charging costs. Fortunately for me it was easy to dispute this as I have always rented a Polestar that does not autoconnect to charging stations via VIN. Essentially, the workers at this location are trained to run the operation like an illegal speak easy gambling hall and have not been properly trained on Rental Laws enforced by the State of California to protect consumers. So when they ask you to step outside to talk or say things like “I can’t give you the details.” simply remind them that they are operating a business in California and not a local gang of bitter office employees who hate their job and treat consumers in a way that’s illegal."

"This Hertz location hired new staff since the last time I had a pickup and was trained how to give great customer service and it shows. I had used this location for the uber program and although it was busy the staff did their best to helpful and prompt. Im leaving this review although it was years ago and wanted to give credit for GOOD service. The most recent service I reviewed from hertz at the regular rental locations was terrible. But Hertz as a whole shouldn't be blamed for a few bad eggs. Thank you to the manager and staff at this location,"

"Very dishonest, disrespectful people. Very bad experience... They gave me a used Tesla Model 3 with scratches, dented and painting was peeling off with used tires... About ten days I was driving slowly on a free way, one of the tires blew off and had to return it at the end of about 5 plus hours of ordeal on a cold free way... It happened around 4 am on Thanksgiving weekend Sunday... I even called Uber to send two passengers to San Diego Airport at my cost... I only used two days of the second week so I asked for a credit. The manager didn't want to give me any credit and just ended my contract right there without consulting with me first. I was upset and asked him the reason why he didn't want to give me the credit. He said... "Because I don't have to!"... He is an idiot... And told me if I did not sign it as he asked me to, not to return to his branch... I didn't sign it and left the place at the end and am currently contacting Hertz Customer Relationship team... After that, I will seek for a legal action. Anyone who has similar experience like mine, contact me so that we can bring a class action against them... Geez... Very bad experience with them... Be aware... They will give you a car with used tires and it gets blown off..., it is all your fault and they won't give you any credit or replace another vehicle for you... You will lose all your money for the rest of the week like me... What type of business are they operating like this...? This is a scam..."

"Worst costumer service ever . Never dealing with them, the manager is rude doesn’t help and gives you bad attitude! Instead of trying to explain why they over charge me $700 all he does is scold me on how to get on my hertz app to check instead of explaining to me the insane over charge. A professional manager would do his best to assist his costumers especially dealing with a mistake from them. 3 times I have been over charged for dumb miscellaneous issues that I always have to call back be and be on hold forever to just try and resolve these issues. Uber drivers DONT EVER RENT from this location."

"To be honest if hertz knows how many Uber drivers are they should have twice the employees..5 hours to wait to swap or get a car is a bit too much..five non productive hours specially when it cost around 600 x week to rent a tesla.. Just a horrible experience..it is cheaper to buy a Model 3 you will never pay 1600 x month for a model 3 ever....... " September 4th" Today it has been 2 weeks since I e-mailed a customer service and no response yet I got doubled charged and it looks like Hertz does not care about Uber rentals at all, good luck trying to call they do not even have a working phone the only way is by going back to the old wait 5 hours routine so they can answer your questions, I will upload my bills so you can understand my frustration on my next update."
