"We obtained and finalized a quote back in January 2023 to replace deployed air bags in my work vehicle. Parts delays took 4 months to finally schedule the work on April 2023. The technician originally scheduled to arrive mid morning arrived until 1:20PM. He proceeded to start the work on the vehicle and replace airbags, 3 hours into the work, he stated, "our office missed one of the parts needed to install one the airbags", he said, "I will let you know once it is ordered and when I can come back to install it". We called their office, only to find out they didn't account for that needed part in their initial quote and that was going to cost an additional $1,000 and they were going to absorb "the cost of labor" for their oversight. They had already installed 2 of the airbags before I was even notified of their mistake. They obviously have never replaced airbags on this type of vehicle to know what parts are needed to properly quote a job. They had plenty of time (4 months) to come and look at the car before the installation to verify all parts needed have been ordered, they also could have informed me before they started the work. It's not a good business practice to ask your customers to pay for your own mistakes."
