"I bought a 1997 C280 with 160k. Miles. Car sputtered and died in Big Bear. Went to my local 5 star mechanic who doesn't mess around with Mercedes. Referring me to Gary without ever meeting him. Word of mouth from a master mechanic referral good enough for me. Pre covid and busy as good Mercedes mechanics are. I couldn't get in For 7 days. Impatient I went to another mechanic ( not Mercedes only) caliber. 1100 later started sputtering and filling spark plugs with oil? Knock sensor was not it. My referral mechanic said did you go to Johnson? Mistake. Gary & staff are very knowledgeable professional and helpful. Rainy pushed car inside as battery died and windows were down. I need to get oil and fluids topped off and maybe Gary will see this before call.? Lol It's important that they have no other car's but Mercedes Benz that they service."
