"I'm so happy with my purchase, and I still can't get over how incredible an experience I had. I had reached out to 5 LA-area Mazda dealers asking to be emailed the out the door price without any add-ons, and I was either ghosted / back burnered by two, or sent an email with inflated taxes and fees by others. Like, broski, I can look up the taxes and fees on the DMV website; why would you inflate those and immediately risk losing my trust? But, Christina at Puente Hills Mazda sent me what l requested with completely honest numbers. That the taxes and fees were correct established base trust, and I was increasingly impressed from there. We agreed on a price super quickly and worked out financing and trade-in details over email and text throughout the day. Never once was I pressured to talk on the phone or come into the dealership before finalizing. Then as a huge cherry on top, Christina was able to get me Mazda financing at a significantly better APR than my bank's pre-approval, which both slashed the total interest I'll pay and reduced the up-front shock / financial stress of the purchase. When I arrived in the evening, Christina was ready for me, and it might sound silly but I got a bit misty eyed meeting her. She made me feel respected as both a customer and a smart, prepared person, and demonstrated enormous respect for my time (this entire process took less than a day, and with zero haggling). Alex then accompanied me on a test drive, even though I was already committed, and it was a joy to get to know him and Christina a bit more throughout my few hours there. Then Alex and Christina sat down with me to go over the numbers, which were exactly the deal we had discussed. In the finance office, Ernesto was likewise transparent, super helpful, great to talk to, and fully described, but did not pressure me into, additional products. That everyone was so honest and helpful was a reason I decided to buy their pre-pay service package; l'd prefer not to go to any other dealership for service if I can avoid it. The only thing that hadn't been discussed before-hand is that they have a relationship with a GPS and inventory management company called AVAS and they nudged me to agree to allow a GPS tracker on my car. I asked to opt out, and they immediately said no problem and removed the tracker, plus showed it to me, and I signed a paper that verified I rejected the AVAS tracking. In the end, no big deal. Nearly a month later, I absolutely love my car (I got a Mazda3 Hatch 2.5 S Carbon Edition), and Christina has continued to be helpful with follow-up questions, while Alex sent a hand-written thank you note. What a great touch. I've been telling everyone I know, including strangers on the Mazda3 subreddit haha, that they should shop at Puente Hills. I hope they do; this team deserves the business."
