"Got my truck painted 2 years ago and it’s already peeling, when I called to see if they can fix it they said there is nothing they can do. Don’t do what I did and get you car painted by MACCO, they don’t know how to do a good job!"

"Update: After posting my original review, Maaco contacted me to schedule a repair appointment and since the hood of my truck has been repainted. I appreciate the effort. ******** Original Review. My truck was painted at this Maaco location in Downey in August of 2022. A few months after the job was completed, I noticed the paint on the hood of the truck started bubbling slightly. With time the issue worsened. I brought the truck back to Maaco in July 2023. The paint job was covered under a three-year warranty, so I was given a repair appointment for September 18, 2023. I asked if I could get an appointment sooner and I was told the shop only handled one warranty repair per week, so I accepted and waited. I was scheduled to drop my truck off for the repair today, Saturday September 16. When I came in and explained why I was there I was told that despite having a copy of the repair order with the appointment for September 18, I would have to reschedule until November because my appointment "had not been put on their calendar." I demanded that they honor the proof of appointment I had with me, but I was denied and told that there was nothing they could do. I spoke to the manager's supervisor over the phone, and she basically told me the same thing. There was no attempt at accommodating my repair sooner despite me having a documented appointment. The hood on my car is now in much worse shape (see attached pictures), with paint peeling in large chunks and rust beginning to spread. This situation would be infuriating enough as is but because my wife and I had expected not to have our truck for a week while it was being repaired, we had made changes to our daily work schedule to compensate for her not having transportation. No one at Maaco made any attempt at accepting responsibility to make sure my car is repaired as soon as possible."

"Phenomenal, over the moon MASTERPIECE paint job and professionalism! Jose and the manager Rodrigo are very professional, courteous, dedicated and deliver fantastic customer service. Updates on point and efficient attention to details, solutions without hesitation. Paint matches almost perfectly. I was recommended by my uncle who painted his SUV there just a few weeks ago and we are both happy customers. My uncles SUV had no crashes and went from a grey to burgundy in days, with a quick turn around. On the contrary my Celica had major hit and runs of big trucks that backed up to my left side. It was horrible. I took my 2002 Toyota Celica GTS for a quote after searching around and Rodrigo had OPTIONS for me. There was no pressure and I took my time to decide and I love the final outcome. I left my Celica in José hands and returned it like I just got out of the dealer. I can tell they took their time to make every spec vanish. That gloss finish and mirror complex is SPECTACULAR, “it shines like a diamond”. I can tell the crew is great and so is the manager. Thanks so much guys!! You Rock! "Had the pleasure of doing business with these guys, upon arriving I was greeted by Jose who was very professional and polite he went over every detail and explained exactly what I was getting for my money, The turn around time was 2 weeks Which is not bad for a for a large vehicle (Conversion Van) I called one week later to see how everything was going my call was answered by Rodrigo who told me everything was good and my vehicle would be ready for pick up in a couple of days he even sent me picture’s saving me time and gas. A few days later I picked up my van and was very impressed, the paint came out remarkable better than I expected. I had a great experience and will definitely be returning for future work, the staff is very professional and they work with your budget, The service is 10 out of 10 . Highly recommended"
