Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

"The food was excellent when we finally got it and the service was poor. The servers were friendly enough but never stopped by to check on us (never got our drink, had to have it removed from the bill). The Takoyaki was delicious and "moved" just like when we had it in Japan (see video). The pork belly, salmon and calamari, and garlic rice were very good. After we ate that and waited and waited some more we had the spinach, zucchini, and asparagus. The asparagus could have been used to build a log cabin - they should be embarrassed to serve that thick woody stuff to anyone. And why did we get the veggies so late when they take much longer to cook? It kind of wasted our time and left us frustrated. We will not be going back."

"Really like this place with their large menu and quick service. I like that you can buy à la Carte meat to grill and have something else as your main course. We got ramen for each of us along with two orders of meat and appetizers and was reasonably priced. The wait was about 30 mins for dinner and though it felt like forever we were still very happy after our big meal. Plus I had left over ramen to take home. They also offer a cute thing on the menu to let you melt s'mores with the flame from the grill which they remove the grill plate for you to do so."

"I’ve never been to a Japanese bbq but it did not disappoint! Our server was super helpful explaining all the options and how to order. We decided on a couple appetizers - black pepper chicken wings were awesome as were the steamed dumplings. Then we opted for vegetable rice and garlic noodles to go with our choices of protein. The sirloin was so tender and flavorful and the spicy shrimp were definitely spicy. Overall a great meal and fun atmosphere."

"Not gonna lie! We have to change to 3 different tables for one that works. The experience was disappointing in the beginning. However, the hospitality and the food made up for the experience! The smores at the end were a nice touch!"

"Went with a group of 4, got the Yakiniku Party for 4 people and there was so much food, solid value. Food came out fast and our server was great. Favorite dish was either the chicken garlic noodles or the hanger steak. Forgot to take pics of the meal, but did snap a pic of the dessert. Overall great experience, would highly recommend!"
