"For the past year, my wife’s Honda CRV had been making a God awful noise on start up. After much research, I discovered it was the VTC actuator and timing chain tensioner. Over the years, I've successfully nailed down a caring doctor and a relatively painless dentist, but, trying to find an honest auto mechanic had been a struggle. I am a retired San Diego Police Officer. Police officers generally know the best places to eat and reputable businesses to patronize, so I reached out to co-workers asking for recommendations for an honest mechanic. When I picked up the car the following morning, he presented a fair, fully detailed parts and labor repair invoice. We tow my wife’s Honda behind our motor home. When I picked up the car, the engine bay looked like new again…and Chris didn’t even charge me for the engine detail…who does stuff like that?
