I've worked with sooo many mechanics in the past since I've pretty much always owned cars that were over 20 years old and needed plenty of repairs (until recently)... Able knows his stuff, is fast, and charges a fair amount. I would definitely recommend making an appointment before taking your car in because he owns and runs his own shop. He won't make you wait more than a day or two before letting you bring your car in and it's worth the wait for his expertise and work ethic of course!"

I have USAA had an issue and Able was so good at his job he fixed it right up, I even brought my husband here... if you want a trustworthy mechanic able is ur guy BTW he is a former Marine so you know the service will be reliable and professional. He definitely won't beat around the bush and tell you the problem straight up and if it's even worth fixing. I definitely recommend Express Auto & Smog on Whittier Blvd right behind La Habra High also there's quite a good amount of diff auto shops make sure u READ the sign!"

"A 20% markup is far, far less than the dealerships--especially for German cars--who will put on something like a 500%-1000% markup. The Porsche dealership wanted $4000 for new catalytic converters for my Porsche! I actually bought the CA state recommended part for $115. I wanted a replacement key for my Porsche, the dealer wanted $600.00 -- SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR A KEY!!!! And you're crabbing about a 20% markup??? If Abel charged you a 20% markup, he is WAY UNDER market!! Able worked on my car for a tune up, and told me that I didn't even need a new belt--it was still in good shape. He could have easily changed it and charged me, but he didn't !! I would say that was really honest!!! The tune-up was needed; new plugs and fuel filter, but he didn't put anything on that wasn't needed. It runs way better now, and the check engine light that I drove in with was off when I left."
