Calling around to my normal shop, as well as the local Toyota dealership, I was unable to find anyone who was willing to help me remove and clean the dead rodent inside my Tacoma. David at Sunshine Auto told me to bring the truck over immediately. He and his team were able to clean the car, steam clean the engine and internal components to ensure healthy and safe surfaces and air, and even made me a metal grill to stop the rodents from chewing their way into the car again in the future. I was worried the truck was totaled or that repairs would cost me and arm and a leg, but Sunshine was able to get the entire cost of my repairs covered through my insurance company and at the same time fixed the rodent problem that nobody else was willing or able to do! "Sunshine Auto Spa Restores My Van's Shine! David and his talented team at Sunshine Auto Spa did an amazing job transforming the paint on my van! Last year, I had some body work done and got the whole van painted. Despite regular washes at a local car wash in Nor Cal, I started noticing swirling marks and marring. David quickly diagnosed the problem as scratches from car wash brushes and old towels. Sunshine Auto Spa offered an exterior detail with wax, but I opted for the added protection of a ceramic coat. David patiently explained the entire detailing process and answered all my questions. He even offered valuable tips on future car care, including no-touch washing techniques I never knew existed! When I picked up my van, I was speechless! It looked brand new! All the swirling and marring had vanished, and the faded plastic bumper and trim were magically restored. David and his team exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a top-notch detailer in the Santa Barbara area, I highly recommend Sunshine Auto Spa. "Happy with interior, not happy with deceptive practices. I called for a quote to get the interior ONLY done and Dave explain there were packages consisting of Level 1, Level 2, etc., I explained I just wanted the inside done and that was all. He quoted it would be about 250.00, without the levels, but that he would have to see the vehicle first to give a firm quote, so I drove to his business and he looked at the interior, quoting 300.00. This was a Nissan Titan 2021 just bought from the dealership, so it had stained seats and fairly clean floors. I thought the 300.00 was a bit much, but I wanted the “Interior (only!) detailed so I said yes. I again stressed when I got it in there ONLY THE INTERIOR!! I even wrote it down. The girl who helped (she was good rep), said if anything changed she would call. I get back about the 4 hours later and …they went ahead,without my authorization, and washed the exterior. Then tried charging me 50.00 extra dollars. Seriously!!!! Dave gets on the phone with me and I (because I was upset), wouldn’t really let him talk. I was adamant that they didn’t wash the outside truck. He finally spoke and brought up the Levels 1,2 again, saying it included wash and more money..sorry, but when you get a firm quote for one job, that doesn’t mean sneaking in an extra job and using different Levels as an excuse. Again the detailed interior was great and yes the outside really looks good, but that is not what I asked for and he knew this. Just beware of the sly add ons. From other reviews I am not the only one that has gotten this treatment."

"David and his crew went above and beyond. I am so happy I decided to go with the Ceramic Pro Coat and 25% Tint with Sunshine Auto Spa. I had so many questions and David was so responsive and helped to answer everything and was super patient with me, even when I was confused and when peppered with all of my questions! I'm pretty good about upkeep and detailing my car, but it's my first time getting this level of protection on any vehicle. David was so helpful in going over all the details and costs associated with everything, I really can't say this enough! The overall experience was wonderful, professional and courteous, and delivery was on time and as promised. He really worked with me to coordinate drop off and pickup when it was convenient for me (as a mom of 2, trying to find time away from my daily commuter is not easy!). I'm amazed with the results. He knows what he's talking about and when he convinces you to go a little darker on the tint, believe him ;) I was thinking of going a little lighter, but I have no regrets. That 10% makes all the difference and I'm so glad I listened to his suggestion. Getting in my car now after a hot/sunny day is a night and day difference! The ceramic tint is the best! Highly recommend getting ceramic done here. The professional install is so worth it and Sunshine Auto Spa makes all the difference!"
