Electrify America Charging Station

"One of the worst spots to charge. I had to pass through here twice and spent anywhere from 40 to nearly 2 hours waiting on line. There are far too few chargers here. EA needs to have Tesla style stations with 8-15 or more chargers. No reason why not, there are plenty of people in line and EA notoriously has 1-2 chargers that are broken down."

"Empty on a Monday AM. Went to charger 1 based on PlugShare reviews and it worked fine, however charged slow (33kW) at 42% SoC on a mild day (58°). Switched to charger 2 and it immediately charged at 54kW (max for my car)."

"Very bad experience. On the last day of the Thanksgiving holiday, we arrived here at 1:20pm, and there were 4 cars in front of us waiting for the only 1 charger available. There are 4 chargers at this location, and only 1 works. We finished charging at 6:00pm. It took us 4.5 hours for charging."

"Super busy, had to wait as 1 charger was not working. Everyone was friendly and we all took turns trading spots, but frustrating so few charging spots when there are like 30 Tesla banks in the same lot. Bathroom was broken, lots of truck traffic. Wouldn't stop at night."

"Don’t Bother! Do what you can to not stop here. EA has recently had a TERRIBLE track record with their chargers. They don’t seem to be maintaining their chargers like they should. First of all, only 7 Chargers at Lost Hills? Look at a map Electrify America… there’s nothing for nearly 50 miles in any direction, and that location is incredibly busy (3 truck stops at one intersection should tell you something). Unfortunately their system doesn’t tell you if the chargers are truly operational. Out of the 7 chargers, only 3 of them actually worked, and were only charging at a max of 24-30kw on the several cars I checked (even the cars that could accept 350kw from the 350 charger.. the one side that worked). I had to wait 45 minutes for a charger, and after charging for another 45 mins, I was only up 30% from where I was.. then I got to Paso Robles to another EA station. Which is a whole other story (3/4 broken machines there too).. Unimpressed with your company Electrify America. Your new chargers are nice and clean, but apparently that’s all we get.. no maintenance. These extremely busy centers need to be maintained daily, figure it out financially. Also California needs to get their act together if they’re not going to sell gas cars soon. Subsidize/incentivize these companies to maintain what poor infrastructure we have."
