Napa General Store

"Had reservations for 6 for brunch. Showed up and they acted like we came with 20 people and had to go figure out a table. Customer service and hospitality was low. They blamed everything on being short staffed. Turns out they weren’t offering their breakfast menu as described online; the menus we were given had breakfast sides on them so we tried to order those…they said they didn’t have those either. Tried to order a cup of soup, they didn’t have any soup. Tried to order the lunch special that was attached to our menu, and that wasn’t available either. So we went with $20 salads that were sub par. A round of mimosas to soften the blow of having nothing and being so short staffed would have gone a long way and with such a low overhead for them to cover, but hospitality wasn’t on their radar at all. Wish we went elsewhere. Maybe management changed? Not understanding the 4.5 star reviews…?"

"I came with a large party for brunch and a wedding party. The staff was accommodating and pleasant. I ate the chicken and waffles and it was yummy. Nice view and the water fall mosaic was a focal point. I will recommend and return for another visit."

"Initially, I thought it was just a store, but I was wrong. Everything was delicious even their coffee. I loved the cappuccino and the mocha was great, too, and oh so big portions!!! I recommend the chicken and waffles, eggs benedict, and omelettes. Yum!!!"

"Cool little spot in downtown Napa on the river with a delicious breakfast and great service. Very happy we popped in while walking around. My wife had some amazing French toast - and I can never pass up delicious huevos rancheros!"

"Very good breakfast and a hilarious place to be. Been there is winter, but I can imagine it's even better in the summer with a nice outside place and a look on the river. Probably will be there a few more times within our stay at Napa."
