"Really great mechanic! My family has been going to them for literally three generations and they have never let us down. Really great prices, excellent customer service (they explain things kindly and don’t make you feel stupid if you don’t know car vocabulary), and very quick service. Honestly can’t recommend them enough!"
"This has been my favorite place to bring my car to get work done. They are always straight forward about how long everything will take and are very communicative about everything they do to my car. They explain to me afterward how my car is doing, how worn my tire tread is, how my brake pads look, etc. If they can’t fix it, they always have a contact to send you to. I am confident that my vehicle is well taken care of here."
"Highly recommended. Harry, Jerry, and Bill are the best! Buying a used car, helpful inspection, good advice, working on a difficult smog issue. They are usually booked a week or more in advance, so plan ahead. They prefer new customers who are referred by someone they know well."
"I rarely write reviews but felt I had to after such an amazing experience at Campbell Automotive. I took my Kia Soul here after the firestone across the street only did half of a job on my check engine diagnostic. Original repair fixed my spark plugs and sent me on my way. Problem was my check engine light came back on and started flashing on a roadtrip back from Petaluma. Wanted to try another place since my experience was lackluster there (they only half cleaned my engine too when I paid for a full service and the customer service was lacking). I stumbled into Jerry's because it is close to my house and across the street from the other place. They're tucked right behind the Rotten Robbie so it's inconspicuous. However, I was BLOWN AWAY by how good Jerry is at his job. He clearly explains everything that is going on with my engine and how it's all tied together (the spark plugs, ignition coil system) and walked me through the coils were causing piston misfiring. Then he walked me through part pricing (longevity of original manufacturer vs after market options). Never pushy, he just clearly explains what's going on and offers you options depending on what's right for your car and your situation. Jerry isn't a mechanic- he's a car doctor. I asked him to check out my whole car and for a super affordable price gave me a full run down and recommendation of what's happening, what needs to be replaced, can be replaced, and the timing and costs. He went above and beyond and took care of my neglected air filters and malfunctioning wiper fluid system. You can tell he's high integrity, intelligent, open, and honest. Jerry will be my go-to mechanic from now on. Best mechanic I've ever met or used, seriously! I'm confident he'll save me a ton of money in the long run because of his recommendations and work quality."
"I was referred to this brilliant shop by my grandfather, a long time, insanely loyal customer. When he heard I was in need of a mechanic, he immediately recommended "Harry and his boy at Campbell Automotive." He was so persistent in fact that I really didn't have a choice in the matter...old people are great that way, no? Like anyone who has ever gone to a mechanic, I entered the shop hoping I had chosen the lesser of multiple evils, and that while I knew I was going to get ripped off, at least these guys would rip me off for less than the next option down the street. Yes, I guess you can say I'm pretty skeptical of the whole profession. Fortunately, these guys are a bright spot on the greasy reputation of the profession. What I liked about these guys was their bed-side manner so to speak. I felt like a valued customer from the start, and they treated me almost like a parent bringing their child to the doctor...after giving little Timmy a physical inspection, they provided me with a diagnosis and treatment plan for his chronic condition. Okay, clearly a dramatization, but it was a pain-free experience nonetheless. I took little Timmy to Campbell Automotive for regular check ups and a few minor procedures, but alas I sold him and moved to the east coast and now remain carless. However, Campbell Automotive remains, hands down, the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic."
