"My husband and I love to come and eat here. I’m a vegetarian so I love to get the potato tacos and a side of beans. My husband enjoys the Al pastor tacos here. Down to earth eatery with delicious authentic Mexican food. Definitely recommend!"

"Everything about this little hole in the wall is fantastic! The food is phenomenal and doesn't take too long. Their Burritos are easily the best I've had in San Diego! The servers/wait staff are fantastic people. Sitting there feels like home! Only issue is parking can be annoying depending on time of day, but everything makes this my go-to spot to eat! Absolutely love it!"

"Stopped here for quick breakfast bite. Never tried mexicali style hotdog until now. Similar to the ones you find in LA. Came bacon wrapped and garnished with onion and silantro. It had a really delicious sauce and mustard spread on the bun. Came with peppers on the side as well as caramelized onion. Once the hotdog was gone, the sauce coated the caramel onion. So good"

"El Paisa is a fantastic restaurant to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Not fast food and not really a dine in restaurant. But a happy medium that has an extensive authentic menu. You get a mixed crowd between locals, military personnel, and tourists. Every item on the menu will leave your taste buds salivating for more. Don't pass this establishment up. "Plates look good but taste is bland. No salt, no spices. 3/4 of the steak ended up not edible in the carne asada plate. Even corn tortillas were not tasty . Expensive for the food we got. They get you also on the drinks so make sure you know the prices prior even for bottled water! The menu we were given had no prices. The employees are friendly."
