"This is definitely one of the most interesting Japanese Italian fusion restaurants I've seen and been at. It has potential but I feel like it falls short. The cheese plate was incredibly disappointing, I would skip it. The pizza and other food was good. The lack of effort on the cheese plate really brought down the overall experience."
"I absolutely love Japanese comfort food. And Bistro Kaz does it right. You need to get the corn soup. They make it from scratch. I’m not sure how they do it, but they are able to stuff corn aroma, essence, and punch into it. The cold cod roe angel hair pasta is soothing with a touch of decadence with the roe and ikura. Comfort food is meant to be heavy, but Bistro Kaz is able to thread the needle. You leave with a warm, full belly without feeling like you’ve eaten a ton of bricks."
"excellent food! The unagi pizza looked & sounded great from all the reviews and this one didn't disappoint. It was super easy to split half a pizza & half a pasta dish (we had the cod roe pasta). I would definitely come back again for squid ink pasta & given soba is generally served cold - I am curious if the roe cold pasta one is inspired by soba. I thought the portions were good for what we got & the quality of the food."
"New favorite in all of SD. We got the Uni spread (comes with 4 large pieces of bread), unagi pizza, fries, pumpkin soup, deep fried brie cheese balls. Best menu ever with actual new and innovative dishes and also some old authentic faves that never get old. Everything I got here was delicious and worth it. Going back to try more soon. Our server Meg was excellent and sweet. Kudos to the service and the chef! Also, Google got their times wrong and apparently they can't change it, but they close at 9, not 10."
"A pretty good experience. This is an Asian-Italian fusion restaurant. I haven’t eaten other dishes but these dishes are light, creative, delicious. Kinda small proportion even for a small Asian girl like me. So, don’t be too shocked. -Limited seats during Covid -Service is so-so. Have to wait for 20’ to be served. The female waitress is friendly and supportive Will come back for their Black Ink spaghetti"
