"Never have I called a more helpful and knowledgeable individual in the automotive world then when I called Craig today. He was more then willing to share with me information about a used 4x4 van I purchased. Letting me know what parts were used and how to identify anything that might puzzle me. Very grateful that there are builders like him in the 4x4 world and I highly recommend you use his high quality knowledge and part selection in your next conversion."
"It was a long wait, but then again, great things are often worth the wait. Attached is a before and after picture, along with a comparison to a stock sprinter. My wife wanted the 3500 extended 170 that was fully kitted with a dry bathroom. These were not available in true 4-wheel drive, and the ground clearance was not ok for anything other than an RV Park. We really wanted to take this RV skiing, off-road to go fishing and exploring, so the Whitefeather conversion was just what we needed. The stock Sprinter swayed with bumps hard, worse with the Wyoming wind, was a bit uncomfortable passing big semi trucks at highway speeds, and took very long to stop. In addition to the extra capability, it stops quickly and rides so much better! Craig was great; he helped me pick the suitable options, larger brakes, oversized sway bars front and rear, rear spring pack, auto locking hubs, and Electronic locker to add to his other suite of well-designed and executed conversions. I spent a week in the most significant storm that hit the West in 160-170 years, dumping 6’ of super dense and wet snow, in just a couple of days. The Whitefeather 4x4 conversion performed flawlessly. Spent about a month up in the snow, the sprinter is just under 11’ and you can see from the image the snow banks are high. Fuel mileage is not bad considering just switching from less aggressive mud and snows on my Truck to K02s I lost 2 mpg; I only lost about the same with 6 K02s and the conversion. Freeway driving, taking it easy, I get as high as 18 (see image) but generally, closer to 16. Not bad for a 12,000 lbs sprinter with solar panels and big AC unit and vents on the roof. Probably an all around number is close to 14. Best money I’ve spent in some time!"
"I was lucky enough to find a 2014 sprinter with a whitefeather 4x4 conversion. My sprinter had a very hard life in gas and oil fields of Pennsylvania. As a testament to the quality of work put into these conversions, everything functions as it should. The van still drives like a stock sprinter should. (No small feat considering the added capabilities) The lack of maintenance my van received in its former life was a real concern until a few conversations with Craig. Most all parts in the system are common off the shelf hardware. In addition someone at whitefeather is only a quick email or phone call away with a wealth of knowledge. Being a second hand owner of a Whitefeather conversion I did not expect top notch customer support but have been blown away by the information and help I have gotten. They stand behind their work and for good reason what they build is tough and reliable."
"I highly recommend Whitefeather. Craig and Zeno did a great job on my 2013 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 Extended Body RV. I found Craig to be very reliable, very knowledgeable, honest and a straight shooter. He genuinely cares about his customers and I experienced that. I had my van converted to 4x4, bumper, winch and lights, etc. The work they do is not cheap, but it's very good. I had another well known van outfitter in the region admire their work after and said to me, "this is exactly how I would want it done." And pointed out a bunch of things that I had no clue about what was what, but he was impressed. Craig is a perfectionist it seems; if it's not right it's going to bug him. He is easy to reach, returns calls, and takes care of things. I had an unrelated vehicle computer problem and Craig helped me and worked really hard to get me fixed up even though it wasn't his fault. Turned out to be something simple and now it's 100%. The vehicle although a lot higher drives better; it's more stable with the improved suspension and sway bars..less roll and jarring. The first night I used it in 4 wheel in a snow storm in Tahoe and performed perfectly. Saved me, as the police wouldn't have let me over the pass if 2 wheel only. I'm pumped about my van and look forward to hitting the deep back country roads where there are no hookups for miles and miles."
"Craig is a huge source of knowledge and information!! I was able to ask several questions from him and he gladly helped me over the phone with a 4x4 system that he worked on almost 20 years ago! He was very friendly and was able to steer me in the right direction. I can't say enough great things about him and his business!"
