"Been to this broken yolk about 3 times already and pretty good/decent spot. We got sat immediately but we did go on a Monday 9am. I got the biscuits and gravy with Turkey bacon and home style potatoes and really good! Only thing is the potatoes probably needed a bit more seasoning/salt. GF got the chilaquiles bowl with carne asada. Not too spicy and really great! We also got the lemonade mimosa and espresso martini. Pretty good but espresso martini had to be mixed since the first sip was a punch of vodka lol. Total price was about $60. Overall service and speed of food was quick and well!"
"We decided to order online from this restaurant instead of dining in, considering it may be busy for a Saturday morning. And sure it was with hardly any parking. Thankfully we snagged a spot to pickup the online order. The servers or host at the front were friendly and quick to help me with my order. When we opened our order we saw a very sad, cold meal. A Border Benedict that looked under whelmed in an oversized takeout container accompanied with a cup of wet black beans. The meal was unappetizing to view and was cold to the touch. Although the taste of the food was decent, I was disappointed to eat cold steak and eggs. The meal was so cold that my container's plastic lid didn't accumulate any condensation; had the meal been at any level of warmth. I don't think I would return. I thought my friend's order would change my mind but her order was cold and unseasoned as well."
"Breakfast with the mom group. We picked Broken Yolk for a new place to try because it was close to home. Pretty packed for 10am on a Friday but we got seated quickly at a nice roomy table. Big sized ice tea, Diet Pepsi and waters. Yummy looking cup of cappuccino! I ordered the mom omelette trying to be healthy. It’s loaded with funny chopped red & green peppers, mushrooms and spinach’s. Very filling fruit cup was terrible. The pineapple was hard & dry as well as the honeydew. Only edible pieces of fruit were cantaloupe and watermelon. Chilaquiles were ok. Chips were good but sauce was ehhhhh. Thought it came with beans and rice? Steak & eggs were good as well as the biscuits & gravy. Nice atmosphere, easy location. We’d go back but try different items."
"The food is so fresh and good. We came with 13 people and were seated promptly. It was 8am on a Sunday. Meagan was our server and she was super fabulous. We loved her. Nothing was wrong with our order and she was quick to respond to any additional needs. See you next year."
"My first experience with Broken Yolk was in Las Vegas. I immediately looked to see of there was a Franchise in Cali, Buena Park came up and so my hubby and I decided to give them a try. I absolutely love the floor plan, nicely spaced, open bar for sitting, nice quantity of staff, very clean and well maintained. I was told they have been up and running for about 2 years. My dining experience was nice. Our waiter was upbeat, courteous and provided everything we needed. Portion sizes were more than enough, I ended up having to take some items home. Real Texas bread was used for the Classic French Toast. I find that other places use sandwich bread for French Toast, I'm like what is this, but not Broken Yolk these humongous French Toast slices are big. The strawberry drizzle has strawberry puree which felt like I was eating g dessert for breakfast, yum! Bacon was crisp and those 2 eggs look like 4 in portion size. I was it all down with a delicious pomegranate juice. There are many delicious and eclectic menu options for breakfast and lunch, come on out and give them a try."
