About the El Borrego De Oro Restaurant #1
El Borrego De Oro Restaurant #1 is a Mexican restaurant located at 2403 Whittier Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. Our history and name originate from the village of San Gabriel in Tezontepec de Aldama, Hidalgo, Mexico. Our founder, Don Norberto, started this restaurant with his family to share their favorite Hidalguense cuisine - Barbacoa de Borrego. We use vegetarian-fed meat to cook our delicious barbacoa. Whether you dine-in or order take-out, we ensure that our meals are packaged to maintain their quality. Visit us at our two locations in Los Angeles: 2403 Whittier Blvd and 2808 East Washington Boulevard.

Reviews of El Borrego De Oro Restaurant #1
"Great service, hand made tortillas on the spot food is awesome"
"They have good food but customer service is the worst by naty she's super rude with customers I don't recommend this place"
"Cute little restaurant/ carry out place. I highly recommend the burrito mojado and the consome. Amazing staff and clean area."
"The meat is great to eat but I do feel that the pancita was just giving a taste of pigs skin like just skin like meat. I do feel the consomé was good but a bit to much salty or maybe it’s just me. It was my first time buying here but yeah worth a try and when you buy the food with bones they will definitely give you bones for sure lol so I guess it’s okay that you pay the extra 3 bucks for the non bones dish. The meat seems a bit dry idk why. They accept cash or DEBIT card only. They have about a few small tables for ppl to eat but overall it was okay."
"If I could rate this place a Minus 100 I would! I've been eating here since January 2020 when I moved into the neighborhood. I was overwhelmed to find such an authentic "real deal hollyfied" Mexican restaurant! You only get food like this from someone's mother believe me! I go there today and there's a different staff, so I ask the man if it's new ownership and he says No. With my order I ask for chips and he gives me some real lame excuse why they don't make them anymore. My burrito was pure Garbage, salty as hell, wrapped by someone that's NEVER made burritos before in their life! And the green artificial salsa looked liked something from another planet! CONCLUSION: El Borrego De Oro sold their name to people that within a short period of time will go out of business. The food there now is worse than Del Taco, and I don't eat there either. You might as well cook your shoe and put salsa on it!"
