"The decor was viby. The food was really good. Crispy, yummy chicken"
"We ended up here recently on our way to the airport - a happy accident if you will (the first place we tried didn't let anyone under 21 in and we had kids with us...). The Obaasan chicken sandwich and the Spam Musubi burger were both amazing! The sauce on the Obaasan was stellar. The Spam Musubi burger was flavorful - only complaint food-wise is the fried egg was solid so no runny yolk on burger, making it a little dry. The kids' popcorn chicken and burger were both well-liked too. Service was friendly and attentive. We sat on the patio because that was what was available for 4, and appreciated that they turned on the heater for us. The view outside was basically the trashcan while the servers came and scraped all trays into the outdoor trashcan throughout our meal. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable meal."
"We happened to go on a very slow day and we got casual, quick, and friendly service before we headed to the airport. Nice selection of local beers, canned sake, and some wines. Sweet back patio area! So the carefully structured bahn mi had yummy bread, fresh veggies, and nice fatty pork ($18). I chose the $20 Battle Royal burger. The server asked me if medium temp for the burger was okay, and I emphatically said yes. When it arrived, the burger patty was small and basically well done which was a tiny bummer but the fresh avocado and perfectly cooked & well seasoned egg on top made up for it. Entrees do not come with anything on the side so be prepared to order the crispy fries to share! The only reason I didn't go for the five stars is because due to the open kitchen and prep room/ dish pit being wide open for viewing, I didn't see any of the employees wash their hands or change gloves after adjusting personal hats or touching various surfaces; one guy even fist bumped a customer and then went back to work. The employees all looked like awesome people who I would definitely grab a beer with but they were a tad bit relaxed on the food handling safety aspect of a restaurant-- which isn't a deal breaker since I know exactly how back of houses operate but you would think that some attention to cleanliness would be adhered to with such a wide open kitchen. Come here for fun american/ Japanese fusion burgers & hot dogs, salads & curry and don't skip the local craft beer or imported sake!"
"Hell yeah. These folks know how to make food. I went for small bites instead of a burger, but I will be back for a burger soon. Flavorful, leaning a LITTLE salt-heavy, but not enough to earn a ding...just something to note if you are on a salt-restriction (and if you are, why are you here?) The Japanese style chicken bites were tender, crunchy and packed with flavor. The 3pigs was like what you wish you could have made tots into in college, but you were too high to get it done, so you ate frozen tots instead. Great service, clean space, amazing selection of interesting and unique menu items."
"Japanese twists on American comfort foods are the name of the game at Humble Potato. The space is super casual with communal seating and has a comfortable urban feel. The food definitely didn't disappoint. My son and I tried a few things and each was full of flavor and nicely blended American and Japanese styles. I really enjoyed the Katsu Kare Sando with jalapeno slaw. My son also tried a sandwich, the Yakiniku sliced ribeye with provolone, grilled onions and shichimi togarashi on a garlic-butter roll. Both were fantastic and went well with the shichimi garlic parmesan fries which were piping hot and perfectly crispy. Definitely check out Humble Potato for inventive Japanese-American fusion and friendly staff in a relaxing setting."
