"First off, the shopping plaza is amazing. There are kids play areas, water features, and a great selection of food places, shops, and an AMC movie theater. We put our name on a list at another restaurant but the wait was over an hour. So we stumbled across Gus's BBQ with no wait. We were seated in the patio section and it took over 25 minutes before our waiter even came to our table. It took almost 10 minutes just to get our drinks to our table. We ordered sliders and fries. Both were good. The food came out pretty fast. Next time I'd like to sit inside though. Only because the seats in the patio section were extremely uncomfortable."

"Brisket was very good! Moist, just the right amount of fat and smokey. Catfish was hot and crispy. Sides were ok. We've been going to the original location for years in Pasadena, so we thought we would give this one a try. The front door area gets way too crowded with people checking-in and trying to leave."

"Great staff and 30 minute wait for dinner at 530 on a Saturday without a reservation, which was fine. Went back another day with a reservation and was seated right away. Food arrived promptly, the pulled pork tostada was reported to be great and my baby back ribs were fantastic. The gluten free cornbread was very moist and the garlic mashed potatoes were great. Fine atmosphere both inside and outside. Tons of gluten free options well marked on the menu including most of the meats and sides."
