"Went in today a few minutes after opening to buy two pairs of snow board boots for my gf and I.. At first glance it was quite busy and it seemed like we would need to get in line for help, not a problem, we did.. I managed to ask a clearly free floor hand if I could get help with sizing and they pretty much started giving me a run around about “it’s a fitting process so we’ll be right with you when someone can help you with that..” Waited thirty minutes before I was able to get a footwear employees attention. I was asked if I needed help and I proceeded to tell the employee that I’m pretty much sold on the Vans boots for me, and that i really just need help with sizing/stock in order to make my final decision and purchase.. He recommended I go up half a size and that he had that size in stock in slightly different model.. I am sold on the Vans look so model/color/price wasn’t something I was totally concerned about as long as I could find them in store and put my hands on them. (everything was okay up until this point) I responded that that was totally fine, and that I would like to try it on for size.. he then replied that, “you can’t try them on unless you buy them” I was immediately taken back, keep in mind, I had just watched this same employee pull three different boots out for the last guy, ended up telling his customer “so you’re going to think about it for a little?” (Literally put the words in the customers mouth), proceeded to tell the customer to buy cheaper goggles online, and then watched him leave. What kind of sales department are you running??? And those double standards?? If that employees goal is to not sell, he’s doing fantastic!.. At least in that first hour. I immediately walked out because I didn’t want to cause a scene.. I’m extremely disappointed with your sales service and will gladly take my money elsewhere."
