"My visit to BKK 78 street food stand in the mall left much to be desired. While expecting a delightful culinary experience, I encountered disheartening frustration among the staff. Their demeanor seemed agitated, which unfortunately reflected in the quality of the food served. The taste and presentation of the dishes fell far below expectations, lacking the flavorful authenticity that this type of cuisine is renowned for. Moreover, the wait time added to the disappointment. Anticipating a quick bite, the extended duration for the food's arrival was unexpected. It created a sense of impatience, compounded by the unsatisfactory outcome of the meal. Given the popularity and reputation of street food for its quick service and delectable offerings, this experience was a stark departure from the norm. I sincerely hope that BKK 78 street food reevaluates their approach, focusing on enhancing both the efficiency of service and the quality of their culinary offerings. Aiming for a more enjoyable and satisfying customer experience should be their priority moving forward."
"If you like an inch layer of oil, if you like only being able to taste oil, then the Tom yum soup is for you. This was the most disgusting soup I’ve ever had"
"Pricing here is an absolute scam. Food is fine, but I would barely pay half the price for this. Service could also use some work. Just do yourself a favor and avoid this place."
"Ran into this tent during a visit to Desert Hills, was intrigued by their unique taco offerings. They offer Thai-inspired tacos like Tom Yum, which I had to try. I was also curious that their menu did not have prices listed, and frankly I was taken aback when an order of taco and their green sauce (which came highly recommended, according to their menu) came up to 20 bucks. But I digress, I was already committed to try their food. Firstly, the food was prepared individually, one batch at a time. The meats were already cooked, only needed a quick sear with the right seasoning. My Tom Yum taco came with generous portion of shrimp, which was seared with Tom Yum sauce, garnished with cilantro and fried shallots. The taco reminded me of an actual Tom Yum soup, which was a good point in their favour. The green sauce gave a good compliment to the taco with slow burn (my wife still felt the burn minutes after we were done eating), but not necessary to enjoy the food. So the Tom Yum taco was a great dish to try, though I still wonder if it was worth the price."
