"Incredible Pastrami Sandwich. Best I've had so far. Was quite a drive a way, but I can see myself craving this sometime in the future. The whole pastrami sandwich is good enough for two people with smaller appetites. My issue was that they forgot to input my drink order, but their staff were very friendly so I let that pass. Definitely worth a try."

"The problem is I arrived hungry and everything on the menu looked so good. It was a matzoh ball soup kind of day, but once I saw the pastrami, I pivoted that way. They had the option of shaved or diced, and I went for the diced on a burger. After the fact, I saw that they have a pastrami on fries which seems like a way to go. Next time I’m going to try the burnt ends. The front of the house taking your order was lovely and kind. The lady serving the food on the other side, not so pleasant. But the quality of the food made up for that."

"Food is great. Reminds you of the old Johnnies. Gentrification is seen here in abundance at this West Adams establishment. It is no longer a dangerous place to eat like it was in the 80's and 90's. Outside seating, family friendly and the bar...awesome. The House drinks are great, t.v.s are going. The current owners deserve kudos for bringing back this place. Make sure you get the potatoe salad."

"Only the wait time was an issue to rate 3 starts. I recently had the opportunity to visit Johnny's Pastrami in the Los Angeles area, and I must say that their thick-cut pastrami is out of this world. The flavors were incredible, and the meat was perfectly tender and flavorful. However, I do have to mention the less than ideal wait time that I experienced during my visit. Upon arriving a bit before 6:30pm, I eagerly placed my order and was excited to indulge in their renowned pastrami sandwich. However, I was taken aback when I found myself waiting for a staggering 53 minutes before my sandwich was ready. And to make matters worse, I had to wait outside, which was a bit uncomfortable. It is disheartening when a restaurant that offers such exceptional food lags behind in its service. Even though the pastrami was undeniably delicious, the lengthy wait time was a significant drawback. It is crucial for establishments like Johnny's Pastrami to find a balance between maintaining quality food and ensuring efficient service. Despite the frustrating wait, I cannot deny that Johnny's Pastrami delivers on flavor. If you have the time and patience to spare, it is well worth a visit for their delectable pastrami. With hopes that they make improvements to their service, it has the potential to be an even more remarkable dining experience. "Excellent food, great atmosphere and lots of outdoor seating. From the street it is hard to tell how many people this place can sit. Also, there is a bar connected to the same courtyard next door. My only complaint is the spicy dog is a bit small and really should be 1/4 pound size for the price. Flavor was great."
