"My husband and I decided to have dinner after reading the great reviews while visiting from Las Vegas. We were not disappointed! The food, service and atmosphere were amazing! We wanted to come back and eat there again on Sunday but they are closed. We are looking forward to Our next visit so we can come and eat here again"
"This afternoon I peeked in the front door and was immensely impressed with the stylish beauty of this Cambodian restaurant. I ran back to our hotel to convince my husband that we must eat there tonight. Wow! The food was so fresh, full of delightful mixtures of spices. Being a vegan 85% of the time, we chose from many vegan options: vegan spring rolls, pickled veggies, a beautiful Angkor salad of noodles and vegetables in a yummy yet complex dressing, subtle, light yet so flavorful coconut curry with tofu, and a ginger tofu scramble which was laden with ginger, veggies and peppers. We ate everything cleaning each plate. I look forward to telling my sister about Angkor chef on 1 st Street in downtown SJ."
"We ordered food tonight to take away and are very happy with the food! You can see how much care was put into the food. Extra points (lots of extra points) for the compostable, plant based containers used! You rarely see any environmental awareness regarding containers for take away. Excellent! We had the papaya salad, the lemongrass tofu stir fry and the vegan Cambodian curry. All very good!"
"The food here is unusually good. Judging by four out of four very happy diners, and by talking to the chef, it's easy to see how much care goes into her recipes and preparations. I had the Amok (the national dish of Cambodia). It's a creamy, beautifully seasoned catfish stew served in a bowl of banana leaves. My first time experiencing this dish and it will be hard to order anything else now, I liked it so much. Our table also got the Ginger Chicken and Tofu Pad Thai -- all were great. But the other stand-out dish at our table was the Pickled Green Mustard Stir Fry. The pickled vegetables are house-made, and added the perfect amount of salt/sour crunch to the seasoned ground pork. Really a great dish. The decor is clean and fresh and very comfortable -- and the service is very accommodating. We will be back, for sure. What a find."
