"The clothes and discounts are great, the customer service is horrific. Yesterday I visited and my crying baby rattled the cashier who seemed new/confused. I suspected she made a mistake on my purchase and sure enough, I was charged twice for one item. When I returned to the store about a half hour later and asked a cashier about how to handle the mistake, she told me to wait in the lube of 16 people (only 2 cashiers) for them to correct it. Shopping with a newborn, toddler, and 4 year old is difficult enough, waiting in s giant line twice to correct an associate's mistake is unacceptable. The new cashier mumbled a meek "sorry," and the supervisor only approached to put in a code in the CD register and avoid eye contact. The whole situation was handled poorly. I'm a local and shop here often for the prices and quality of Carter's clothes, it is not my first disappointing transaction."
