"When you're at big bear after a long day playing at the snow, you want to eat a very good dinner but please don't come here and waste your money. The food was horrible and it's not even Thai food. There's no Thai flavor at all. I'm not Thai but I still know it's not even Thai food. I think the owner is either Indian or from Nepal. It's better to spend your money at Jack in the box across the street then waste your money here. The bad reviews are true. Please don't ignore it. Not sure why this restaurant even have 5 stars. People who gave 5 stars are misleading others ."
"We came here with 6 adults and 3 kids. The service was top notch. They accommodated our big group. Their food was delicious and had unique flavors. Our server was so cool too. He gave us his honest opinions about what to order and what not to order based on our preferences. I do t understand the rating of 3.8. These guys deserve way more!"
"If you are looking for a fine Thai food in big bear, you can try this out for sure! We ordered Tom kha hotpot (could improve on taste as our order was a bit tangy), chicken satay, pad kee mao was delicious, the spring rolls, chicken fried rice and royal fried rice was fine (it contained pineapple). They provide you some spices to add if asked. The chef can make the fried rice yummy through addition of flavors and cooking the rice in the sauces for a bit. The staff is quite friendly and responsive. Clean place with clean restrooms. Good affordable Thai food available here. Would recommend for you try it!"
"The curry was fine. Even though I asked for it to be mild it was still spicy but it’s not their fault I’m a wuss. The “summer” spring rolls were inedible and fell apart before I got to eat them. The Thai tea was good. Several people have mentioned the Indian music. I think that’s a great analogy for this place. It’s good made by someone who is not Thai or Lao and they are trying their best to imitate it."
"I recently visited a Royal thai for lunch and had some delicious tom yum soup and vegetable fried rice. The soup had a wonderful flavor, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the fried rice was flavorful and satisfying. The service was outstanding as well and the staff was always friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for some good Thai food. 4 stars!"
