"This bar is a hidden gem. The staff if most certainly nothing less than perfect. The greeter and I had a great conversation about bars in Santa Cruz, they were fantastic. Catrina, Jose, Jacob and Maui were pleasant on several occasions. I was a server and manager for over 10 years at the most high profile restaurants (Morton’s for one, which is 12 steps of service) so I know exactly what I’m talking about. I’m sorry but the Asian woman at the bar was also great but I didn’t get her name. I told them my conditions (“this is the first time I’ve drank in a year, please make me something nice. It doesn’t have to be heavily alcohol just has to taste good”) They made me exactly what I wanted. It literally made me feel special. Jacob with the great conversations, Maui and Catrina with the prime mixology. Jose was awesome with being attentive. If you read this review, trust it was out of love at 5:14 AM. I appreciate them and I most definitely will be coming back."
"The place has an amazing vibe with really cool cocktails. I'll definitely recommend this place for a visit on a Friday or Saturday night."
"We went there for drinks after dinnertime and were glad to found out it's not too busy on a Friday night which is nice because we were a group of five. We soon got a table and ordered at the bar (mostly self-service). The cocktails were sweet, rich and flavorful, with a well-balanced amount of alcohol - It's more on the side of American cocktail style for me. There are seats by the wall, high round table along the side, and some sofa seating booths, creating an old-school, casual, warm dimly lit ambience. If I can recall, the place began filling up around 7-8pm that day."
"This hole in the wall speakeasy had some top shelf cocktails. I’m a big fan of old fashions, and there’s did not disappoint. The ice cube was the best part because it was clear and high-quality. The taste of the old fashion was sweet, but had a nice blend of whiskey to it. My friends got those cocktails in the milk jars with the paper straws, they were pretty good too. Pricing is not too bad. Ambiance of the speakeasy was great. Very old vibes/modern Americana with a nice young adult crowd. Not too busy on a Friday night which was nice. I was not aware they served food as we just went for late night drinks."
