Palette Tea Garden & Dim Sum 彩苑

"Had a wonderful meal here for Chinese New Year. The food, while not exactly the most traditional, is very striking in delivering a creative twist to Cantonese classics. It's a vision for what high end Chinese cuisine can look like, and I'm all for having more options! For its price, however, the service on a busy day was a little hurried, and we found some dishes took around an hour before they could come to our table. It's perhaps excusable on the busiest day of the year, but there were some kinks that almost derailed our initial experience here. Nonetheless, a meal here is the perfect opportunity to impress friends and family. I found the taste profile to be a little bit on the sweet side, but that's perhaps to be expected as this restaurant is also very popular with non-Chinese customers as well. A good place for a nice meal with a creative and aestheticly pleasing twist on the usual Cantonese restaurant."

"Once you step inside the restaurant, there was a lot of Asian people, and they were always pack, which means this place is approved by Asian. It’s not just regular dimsum that you normally eat at traditional dim sum place, this place is a bit fancier and their menu is very creative. The service is quick and great. It’s a bit pricy, but it’s worth the experience."

"Great classy place for an Asian restaurant, although it serves regular size dishes plus dim sum style appetizers with tea. This is the best Asian restaurant I have been to for atmosphere, ambiance and location and food display. Note: if it offers more vegetarian options, I would give it 5 stars."

"Reinvented dim sum lounge, but still has the classics. It's not like the regular dim sum places with lazy susan's and there are no carts. We went at lunch during thr week. It was crowded but we were able to be seated almost immediately. Good service, friendly staff. We ordered some classics and some new items. The soup dumplings were good, similar to din tai fung. The truffle and duck fried rice was very good, and so were the curry beef dumplings. The sichuan seafood dumplings were ok, but not very spicy. Would definitely go again to try other items."

"Food was great! Our server was a bit annoying and we did come at almost closing time. However we did order a whole feast, so I think they were happy to have us there. Great tea, and the sweet sour pork belly was a highlight as well as the okra and delicious pickles. Will be back!"
