"I loved their miso broth. It’s one of the best ramen I have ever had. This is my comfort food on a rainy day. They are pretty fast about the service. It’s very heavy so be prepared to come hungry. Parking is tough, street of public parking."
"The broth was salty for the Daikoku Ramen. The pork was cold, refrigerator cold. I asked why it was cold, and the employee said it was taken out of the refrigerator. The pork rice bowl was awful. The pork and onion were all burnt. The sauce on top of the dish was disgusting as well. The vegan ramen only had noodles, not even one vegetable in sight. Broth was not good at all. Tofu nuggets tasted like mush. Awful dining experience and the line to get in were long. Such a disappointment, I truly had bigger expectations by their good reviews."
"We went on a Tuesday for lunch and luckily we got there within 15 minutes of opening as it was starting to attract more patrons and seats were running out. We ordered the Daikokuya ramen combo with pork cutlet rice. The ramen was just ok, the meat was flavourless, the broth was just not remarkable. However, the noodles were good, springy and easy to eat, as well as the boiled egg that was golden yellow and a little bit runny on the inside. The pork cutlet rice offered 3-4 pieces of thick pork cutlet with some sauce on the rice. Along with the coleslaw salad that came with this combo, we were able to feed two people comfortably with the combo dish. There are booth, table, and counter seating. The place is not overly big, so anticipate possible crowds and a wait list during busy meal periods."
"This ramen is top tier!! Amazing must stop in Downtown Los Angeles. Get the original Daikokuya ramen or the Spicy Miso Ramen. Both fire!!! I got a side of Spicy Miso Bomb to make ramen a bit more spicy which was nice. Definitely try the fried rice. Amazing!! Even for leftover it’s even better with some soy sauce and hot sauce. Definitely check out this LA institution and landmark."
