"First time shopping at McClellan commissary. I read some good reviews last week. My experience was as great as the reviews I had read. The store is larger then an average Safeway. The produce is fresh and high quality and that produce isle was so long it seems like it goes on forever. I carefully shopped and meticulously checked pricing and food dates. I was impressed with the long expiration dates. I was also amazed at how much I got for the price! In this economy, it is a blessing to have more money left over for gas and other necessities. The store appeared smaller from the outside, Just when I thought I reached the end of the isles, there was an opening that I thought was private space but it turns out it's another wing of the store. I actually hesitated to go In until I started to notice the cleaning supplies and medicine. WOW! I was quite impressed with my shopping experience and how clean the store was. All staff were very friendly. As a vetern with service connected medical, it will go along way to help my quality of life. I did not think to tip the baggers after filling 13 bags! Next time in I will make up for that! Thank You!"

"Reasonable military pricing, however inventory is not regular. Expiration dates on some item were less than 90 days. For coffee creamer singles, they should be well over 180 plus."
