"Bakery worker, not sure her name Tahraja i believe was incredibly rude when trying to purchase a cake & the lettering on the cake turned out really ugly & we bought a chocolate cake it said so on the sign & it turned out to be vanilla, so disappointed."

"Prices on everything are considerably higher than Save Mart or WinCo. There are many complaints on Facebook about out of code items. I personally have not seen any. The bakery and deli are very good."

"Beautiful brand new store but beware of expired items all across the store. Dairy section has a bunch of milk, yogurts, Kefir bottles that are bloated from how long they’ve been fermenting. The cold cut sections has dozens of packages with weeks old sell before dates on them. You’ll find rows and rows of expired breads. Worst Safeway in the Valley - looks like the area can’t produce the foot traffic that they need to keep things from expiring but then stock is never changed. Employees don’t care about taking expired products of the shelves when told to: Told them about the bloated Kefir, went back 3 days later bottle was still on the shelf. Look on the BBB site there are many similar complains from MH customers complaining about expired food."

"We stopped going to this Safeway, even though it is very convenient. We have found products past their expiration date many times, including ham that was 1.5 month past its due date, smoked salmon, chicken, milk, and what did it for us was poke salmon, which was supposed to have been prepared that morning, but was clearly spoiled when we tried to eat it 1hr after purchase. All these issues were reported to staff, but a year later, it's still a problem, they are not fixing the issue. We've also had cheese or fresh pasta that had mold well before reaching their expiration date. Overall, food freshness and quality (or lack thereof) is not worth the convenience, we now shop elsewhere."

"This is the worst Safeway ever. Produce is terrible. There were fruit flies all over the place, especially in their red grapes. I brought this to the employees attention and he said he would address the issue right away. He spoke to his boss and the resolve was to just dust the fruit flies away instead of disposing of the already tainted product. Safeway needs to hire more competent managers. It’s disgusting knowing they want to save a buck instead being concerned for the health safety of the customer. I pay such high property taxes and expect our Safeway to meet our highest quality expectations. Very, Very disappointed."
