"Expensive store and NO quality!!! every time I go there I get disappointed especially around grocery such as cucumbers or letters... very disappointed"
"I had a wonderful customer service experience shopping at the Danville Safeway on 12/13 around 10am. As it was the 1st day of the weekly ad sale for many of the items, some of the "clipped coupe" items were NOT reflected in the checkout system. Kathleen G. at the checkout counter took the time to manually calculate the price difference of the sale items, so I could enjoy the big savings from my purchase. Thank YOU Kathleen G. !!"
"Danville Safeway continues to shutdown the self checkout at 9. Instantly creating long lines. Management doesn’t care. This doesn’t take place at other Safeways in the area. Don't come here after 9 unless you want waste your evening."
"I am a delivery driver and I deliver within this area quite often. But I don't live here; therefore, I don't know where everything is located. I arrived here earlier today and had one package to deliver. The destination said, "Great Clips" (a place I am not familiar with personally), but the pinpoint on my handheld fell within the interiors of Safeway. So that's where I went. When I entered, I followed the pinpoint to what looked like a flower shop. I could see the reception as well as a lady sweeping the floors. This lady was Caucasian, had gray white hair (I'm guessing she was in her 60s), wore glasses as well as a dark t-shirt and jeans and was chubby down the middle from what I remember. I asked her if she knew where the address I was looking for was located and read the number off to her to see if she recognized it. She took a look at the handheld and saw that the destination said "Great Clips". When she saw that, she smirked and said "It says 'Great Clips'". I replied, "Where is that? Is this it?" She said with that same smirk on her face and within a snobbish tone, "It's a Salon. Not Safeway, hun." And she giggled to herself and returned to doing whatever she was going to do. I just remember her tone of voice sounding off towards me as if I was supposed to know that. I am a 34 year old man who doesn't go to many salons on my time off. I don't have any reason to (I mean I cut my own hair). So why would she speak to me as if I'm supposed to know that and laugh and smirk to herself as she walks away like I'm from another planet?... I know for a fact that if it were me in her position, I would humbly give the person directions even if I have to walk him outside to point him in the right direction for reassurance. And she did not do that. I just remember looking over my shoulder at her as I was leaving and thinking to myself, "What an........ (rude person)!""
"Quality of fresh produce, meats and selection of wine are always excellent, but the pharmacy service this time was terrible. I made the appointment for Covid vaccine online and received the email confirmation as well as the email reminder the day before. But when I showed up the desk person said no record and I had to do the manual paper work. When it was my turn the pharmacist Nguyen was rush rush with strong accent as it was my fault that I had to beg her pardon to slow down and repeat what she was asking, but I got worse attitude in return. I like to point out even the Covid vaccine is free, it is a government paid service ($249) on my behave and I should be treated as a paying customer, not someone begging her free service as a favor. She sent me off after the shot without any paper, and when I asked for the paper, she had to go print for me and finally handed me without a word. I thanked her because I always do even I did not like the service. I never had any unpleasant encounter at this Safeway before."
