"The only place to buy Gilroy CRUSHED garlic. The Pakistani front of the house manager accused me of trying to sneak a larger, more expensive lemon(that comes with a sticker) in with the 10 for $1.00 lemons of unequal size. I won't buy avocados for the same reason. Haven't been there for awhile so maybe there's a change in managers so only go for the garlic."

"Avoid buying steak from this shop. The New York steak sold at this shop is very questionable. It almost feels like a fraudulent sale. We went in to this FoodMaxx to buy steak on the way to a friend's house. For the first two pieces of the steak, we thought we just had a badly processed steak where it was damaged by over-frozen or something; because the texture is way off and blood is not right ( almost like a diluted and water down version of blood) . It was so bad, we couldn't eat it as a steak. So, for the remaining two pieces, we cut it up and try to cook it differently. That is when we realized this alleged and marketed New York steak, is actually a restructure steak than anything else. See the photo for details. Pay close attention to the orientation of those textural patterns. Natural and genuine New York steak meat won't have such textural differences like this on the single piece of New York steak. Even the lowest grade of New York steak will never have such texture on a single piece of steak. Don't buy steak from FoodMaxx if you are used to real steak."

"This FoodMaxx is bordering on a health emergency. The shelves are covered with days and days of filth and juices from old meat and milk slim. There are meats in the reach in fridges and old discarded drinks all over. The floors are completely caked with dirt that hasn't been cleaned in days. The milk box carts haven't had a deep cleaning in a while. The same dried milk scum observed since last week. Iv called the corporate number and sent emails about this store, with only the usual "we'll do better" response. If you can avoid this location and head down to the Brentwood CA location, you will not be disappointed. I truly don't understand how this store hasn't been shut down by County health services."
