"My friend told me she was getting botox here, so I decided to look into it and the reviews sold me - I felt really lucky to find what seemed like an amazing medical spa with qualified staff. I booked two half hour back-to-back appointments with the owner, one to discuss my skin and future procedures, and one for botox. I wanted to make sure we had the appropriate amount of time to touch on everything. I was in the waiting room for the entirety of the first half hour - might just be a busy day, I thought. At the very least, the woman at the front desk was super sweet. I was finally brought back, only to wait another 15 minutes while hearing the owner chat with coworkers. When she finally came in to administer botox, she was curt and unfriendly. She did the procedure quickly and I didn't feel comfortable discussing anything else. It was my first time at a place like this, so while I didn't have the greatest experience, I didn't realize how truly terrible it was until I got botox somewhere else. There, the owner spoke with me for a full hour to educate me about botox, talk me through a skincare routine, and looked in detail to see how my skin responded in order to mark where she wanted to put the injections. She spoke in depth to me about after care. In comparison, Southern Aesthetics felt like a botox assembly line. Edit: The timing of this review is due to recently getting Botox done somewhere else and the difference in the level of service and attention blew me away."
