"So I had an emergency situation. I just bought an old 2006 Chevy Express 3500 Dually with a 180,000 miles on it. While going over everything I found the 4L80E transmission case had a crack on it on a Thursday. I googled up local transmission shops and called V&J Transmission first. Talked to Jose and gave him my situation and I needed this van repaired ASAP because I had a big job to do on Monday. He gave me a fair price within 10 mins. I called AAA and sent the van down there same day just before closing time. Next morning by 10 am I get a call from Jose explaining the situation is a bit worse than just the case and I should come down to see it before going any further. So I went over to take a look and saw that the internals took a heavy beating from the previous owner. The reverse band and clutch pack was burnt probably due to various leaks and low fluid levels. Therefore it turned into a full rebuild. While he was in there I had him change out the engine Rear Main Seal just to be safe. Well, come Saturday afternoon I get a call from Jose saying the van is ready for pickup. He sent somebody to pick me up from home so I can get my van back. I looked over the bill, which seems like a fair price considering all that was done and the very quick turn around needed. So I settled the bill and drove out of there with a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty against leaks or problems. I couldn’t be more impressed with speed and quality of work that was performed and highly recommend V&J Transmission to anybody that needs this type of service.
