"Fish stinks with very low quality. Very pricy considering the food quality. Meshi is ok, but the carpaccio is awful. The fish smells bad and the sauce is terrible. Even you buy soy sauce from the supermarket is better. The unagi karate is also bad. The sauce is extremely salty and the unagi feels like from a microwave. Definitely NOT recommend."
"Decent spot but would recommend having few people to share the dishes with so you can try more things. They have a good selection of items to pick from. The pizza crust was very tasty but it lack fillings. Claypot was a decent size but the pork was a bit too tender. We also got the beef rolls but we didn’t enjoy it as much as it was very overcooked and had a weird texture."
"Great vibe with authentic look to the restaurant, props to the comic books and sake bottles at the start of the front of the restaurant. The food selection was great, really enjoyed the scallops & squid. The chicken was a bit overcooked and a bit too much batter. Super weird that so many restaurants in the area close early but fyi kitchen closes at 8:30pm mid week."
"Hello Viewers, it's been a while since I re-visit Gochi Japanese restaurant. Gochi used to be my favorite Japanese restaurant in town. I love they are offering the some fusion style and non Bay Area traditional Japanese restaurant. I had a feeling all Bay Area sushi store are coming from the same master - Dragon Sushi Roll, Rainbow rolls, teriyaki chicken, sashimi plate, etc. this place offers different Japanese fusion cooking style such as Japanese dressing pizza, clay pot, and carpaccio beef. I enjoy these type of Izakaya style that goes along with the sake or wine instead of treat it as a full meals. if the group of people coming here and hoping for full Japanese meal, this is not for you. if you are coming to have sip of the drinks and tapas style, I will look no further. P.S - did I mention this place serve the foods way too fast? feels like it's missing the izakaya style. Paul"
"The food was ok - nothing really stands out. If I have to recommend it would be Tori Nasi Garlic (chicken /eggplant) and I would skip Kara Age(fried chicken) it was a bit dry. Everything was just まあまあ (so so) according to my Japanese friend."
