"Annie was super helpful i think this is my new go to bakery for office bday cakes thier so elegant and tasty."
"In a few words: disappointing, average, going downhill. I had a few pastries from here around their grand opening and they weren’t bad. I even liked one with custard but you can get that at almost any Asian bakery. (Note on their red bean from a recent order: it tasted off almost like it was fermented or maybe they put alcohol based vanilla extract in the recipe because it had that kind of taste. It was gross which threw me off because in the past it was pretty good). When I came back, however, quality clearly changed for the worst. The pastries were dry, flavorless and skimpy on the fillings or in the case of a red bean pastry the cream was tangy/sour and the red bean was sickly sweet and odd tasting as mentioned above. They weren’t as fresh. The only thing I like from here is the berry cake but the berry chantilly from Whole Foods is better. DO NOT get the goori boro cookie (it looks like a madeleine) it was absolutely disgusting, has an odd texture and way, way too sweet. Just trust me on that and it was kind of expensive too. I also bought a few items that I thought were one thing (based on their labels on the basket) only to bite into them and realize they were mislabeled. Talk about frustrating! I wasted about $10 on boring, tasteless pastries I didn’t want because their employees can’t put the correct items under the correct label. Maybe if they stop texting behind the counter and pay attention this place will be better. Another reviewer pointed out the mislabeling too either on here or Yelp. Forget about the label on the packaging being helpful I laughed when all the labels on the wrappers were identical because they use the same one for everything and also when the labels on the baskets said “etc.” (etcetera) instead of listing everything. Many customers want to know what they’re eating and saying “etc.” is just lazy on their part. I’m not coming back and even though it’s a different culture I much prefer Porto’s nearby. Others complaining about service may not be used to the Korean and Japanese style service which is more subtle but friendly, polite and helpful nonetheless. It’s very Asian not to impose on customers which I personally prefer. We were greeted when we first walked in and the middle-aged woman helping us was very kind."
"This bakery was amazing. I thought the service was great and they were all really nice even though I was taking a long time. All the pastries were up to par."
"Saw this place on instagram and came to try their freshly baked bread. They have a nice variety of bread to choose from and a small seating area in the back. They also have full sized cakes to choose from and a drink menu. I ended up buying the Almond bun bread (2.50), Sausage Bread (3.50), and the Sesame Mochi bread. The almond bread had a nice almond flakey coat with pieces of almond. It was not too sweet and bit addicting, way better than I expected. The sausage bread was also great; good amount of cheese and ketchup with the sausage so it was savory with every bite. The sesame mochi also had great chewy texture and flavor. I would definitely come back to try their other breads and maybe cake too if I am in the area again! It feels extra good to know that this bakery bakes their breads fresh every morning."
"Love the red bean bun I got. There's a swirl of lemony custard on top and it made the sweet red bean stand out more! Will definitely go back to try the cakes and drinks!"
