"My initial visit was great, however my wedding lengha definitely was not made the way it should have been. When I called and asked for some alterations, Milan’s dad told me those weren’t possible as the lengha was made a certain style. Ok? So I’m supposed to be unhappy on my wedding day? Which I was after spending over $3000 on this outfit. My husband’s jewelry was terrible quality and literally his kirpan fell apart the morning of the wedding. I purchased maybe a dozen other suits. Most of them were sew and put together with terrible quality. Two of them have zippers that broke when trying them on. One suit had a sleeve sewn inside out. That particular suit I took back and it’s been 2 months, I have not yet received any information on that suit? I’m stuck with the pants and dupatta with no suit top. Milan’s dad will ring up items and not even tell you which is what price and jsut give you a total cost. Hes rude, unfair and does not listen. Between my mom, myself and my husband, we spent about 12 thousand dollars total at Chawla. Knowing that we come in there and constantly buy things, you would think we would receive some kind of friendly treatment. I will never get over how terrible my wedding lengha was or over the suits that I paid a bunch of money and can’t wear. I was never offered any replacements or refunds or anything. Milan is great, his dad and the store, not so much. Beware from buying here, you might end up disappointed. Maybe buy the material and have your suits made elsewhere."

"My wife really likes the store. Prices are much better then the Bay Area. The sales people can come off aggressive but I think it’s more of a cultural thing. It’s not like an American store with fixed prices, think more haggle/barter system. I requested my shirt to be altered and they were able to do it while I was there so I didn’t have to make a trip back."
