Urbano's Mexican Dining

"From living in Antelope, Ca/Sacramento county for 18 years I can honestly say the biggest disappointment about Lincoln is the food from the Hispanic, Mexican, Asian and Indian food all of it is SO BLAND. The best food in Lincoln are the fast food burgers or the one red robin we have. The few positive things I can say about this place is the fast service and the fact the staff is friendly. Other than that this is not a traditional Mexican restaurant. The food is bland, they don't have margaritas, or traditional Mexican drinks such as horchata or Jamaica. The rice never has that strong tomato taste and taste just like regular white rice. Salsa is good and made homemade. I continue to comeback because this is the best Mexican spot in Lincoln and this alone should speak volumes.."

"Sometimes my food is quite good & other times it’s just barely ok. The rice seems to have MSG or something like it in it, I get acid reflux & it makes my fibromyalgia flare up. The staff is friendly & gets my order right but sometimes the food just doesn’t measure up. Much cleaner & more modern than the other location in Sacramento County."

"I purchased Chili Verde and it was not my favorite version of the dish. It wasn't spicy enough for me. Urbano's is near Sun City and the restaurant regulars may not like it spicy. Before I am accused of "ageism," please note that I am a senior myself. Additionally, the meat contained too many chunks of fat that I cared little for. My two companions did like their respective meals. In fairness to the restaurant, I am much more a fan of Southwest food rather than pure Mexican dishes."

"This is my family's go to Mexican restaurant. I've had many different items off the menu. I've never had a bad meal here. Staff is always quick and friendly. Plenty of chips and salsa when you arrive. Salsa has a nice zing to it. Drink orders are taken quickly. Orders arrive in a timely manner. Always plenty to eat or even take home. Urbano's is a clean, typically decorated Mexican restaurant. Spacious, never over crowded, with a nice full bar and plenty of TV's playing sports. Also an outside dining area. This trip my guest had the 2 burritos combination plate. I opted for my favorite, a special on this night, Pozole. If you never have had it it's like a salsa soup with big chunks of slow cooked pork or chicken in it. Yum. Urbano's servers it with fresh cabbage, cilantro, lemon wedge, and a bowl of dried oregano. Add the ingredients, give the lemon squeeze, sprinkle the oregano, and bring your taste buds alive. It's a 5 star bowl of soup.l"
