Omakase Por Favor

"Love the food Chef Jaime comes up with, delicious and different. My husband and I first had the opportunity to experience her specialty oysters in 2022 at a winery and were super excited to hear Jaime would be opening a restaurant near us. We come here at least once a month. Taylor and Jaime already know I can't do cilantro as soon as I walk in, I don't have to remind anyone every time I come. I recommend Omakase to everyone I know who loves seafood and Mexican food."

"We had a delightful dinner at Omakase Por Favor. We were looking for a fun place to celebrate a big achievement, and this came up in the recommendations from Open Table, Yelp, Google. I was a little skeptical from the name, but looking at the photos of the food showed us lovely, fresh seafood dishes that were beautifully prepared. We decided to give it a try and couldn’t have been more pleased to find this surprisingly upscale restaurant in sleepy little Lincoln. We commented numerous times that we thought we were back in San Francisco with the flavors, the creativity, and the service . The bar-type seating was comfortable and fun to watch the food prep and talk to other patrons, as well as the staff who were super knowledgeable and friendly. We opted for the Valentine Day's special pre-set menu. The dishes were tasty and perfect proportions. Starting with the mandatory v-day oysters and a lovely bottle of champagne we could select from several, then scallops, prawns, striped bass, tuna carpaccio for the seafood selections. Also a delectable pork belly congee, and a salad course. The dessert was fun, strawberry s'mores where we roasted our marshmallows tableside, paired with a chocolate sake option that was lovely and not sweet. We don’t know when we will next be back in Lincoln, but know that it’s worth making the extra trip here for this wonderful new stand-out restaurant that exceeded expectations of these San Francisco foodies."

"Me and my bestie decided to go on a girls date and check this place out. The name omakase in japanese means "trust the chef" and por favor in Spanish is please, reflecting there Japanese Mexican fusion. They have a small patio for outdoor dining as well as a large bar area that serves as the main dining space when you enter as well as a few tables further back. Reccomended minimum age is 15 to dine there. They have a few stand alone items that you order but the main idea is to trust the chef and get a six course meal the chef has planned for the evening. This starts at $75 per person and you can do a lovely wine pairing with it (french wines) forvan additional $40. I highly recommend doing this, we were not dissapointed. They locally source everything they make and are no waste, trying to use every bit of all the foods they get in. They use peels and ends to make stocks, relishes and salsas and the menu adjusts based on what is locally available and in season. We had amazing service and the food was fabulous. I think the only downside was we were seated by the bar which was a little hard to get into as I had recently had surgery (couple weeks prior, prob should have asked for a table) and we were right in front of the door which being a cold evening let in a draft directly on us as we ate but honestly we felt these were fairly minor inconveniences. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Definitely worth checking out"

"The best way I can describe my 5 star review is with the name of the restaurant, Omakase Por Favor (Leave it to me Please) and the two sisters do not disappoint. I ordered the Omakase a six dish meal that was well thought out and delicious. The Chef demonstrated a superb understanding on how to combine and balance flavors, Japanese - Mexican fusion. Don’t take my word for it, visit her yourself and you’ll see she has an important understanding of flavor profiles that will dazzle you with flavorful dishes every time she cooks for you. So do yourself a favor and leave it to her, please."

"Omakase Por Favor was an amazing experience with unique food and wine pairings! The chef and staff were so kind explaining each course and pairing. We got to spend a lot of time with them because we went early. We had oyster shooters and I had a caviar bump (taste on my hand, it was so good I almost ate my hand! ) Then we had a six course meal. I took some pictures, but I was so engrossed with the food... It was an extraordinary meal with combination of foods, flavors and textures we'd never had. We will definitely go back!"
