"It’s been a few years since I last visited Tres Hermanas. Last time was pre-pandemic. This time, I’m here with some of my buddies. It’s a Friday (1/19) afternoon lunch social. The place is trendy and very fitting for a Mexican Restaurant. Ambiance is inviting and hospitable. A definite 5/5. We didn’t have to wait long to get a table. Our server was Anita. She was polite, friendly, and attentive but not overbearing. Her service was excellent. A solid 5/5 rating for Anita. Upon ordering, our food arrived from the kitchen within about 10-15 minutes or so. It was hot and met all expectations. The portions are hefty as you can see by the picture. I ordered a Chicken Burrito with Red Sauce over it. The taste was very delicious! The burrito came out moist and packed with a ton of flavors. It was overly spicy but it was definitely yummy. The rice came out perfect and the black beans were a hit. Overall, the food came out to be a solid 5/5. My cost for my meal with tax and tip came out to be about $23 and that’s with water. Had I ordered a drink, would set me back closer to $30+. Value to price ratio is about 4/5 only because $23 for a lunch with water is definitely on the higher side especially for Mexican food. Overall experience is about a 4.5/5. I would definitely return to this place and look forward to trying out some of the other items on the menu including their cocktails. If you’re in the area, give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed with the food and you won’t leave hungry; but be prepared to pay a higher premium for the dining experience. "Best thing I had here was the Chips and Salsa. The soda is very crisp as well from the Fountain. Very bland food no seasonings what so ever. Great portions of bland food. The Black Beans were tasty but the meat was bland the rice was OK. Like I said (Great Portions) of Bland over priced Mexican food"
"Decided to stop by for a quick to-go order. Unfortunately, the experience was not good. I ordered a steak burrito. When I got the receipt, it showed as a quesadilla. Staff didn't charge me again for the difference (a few dollars), which was nice, but took a downhill from here. It took close to 40 minutes for the burrito to come out. Staff was a bit nonexistent during this time. We noticed different parties come in, stand there a few minutes, and ended up leaving since no one greeted them. The burrito came with chips and salsa. My surprise was it was very small. When I took a bite, inside was only steak and fajitas. My mistake...since I double checked the menu and it really only lists those two ingredients. Not sure why their burrito lacks so many other ingredients...and I was more confused why this took 40 minutes to come out. Because it was all fajitas, the burrito gets super soggy and wet. Not worth for the original price of $18. I personally won't be back...hoping this was a one-off and that other people's experiences are better. Street parking only."
"YES, the hype is REAL!!! Tres Hermanas is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Sacramento. If you haven’t tried it, you are definitely missing out. Been here many many times for their authentic dishes, generous portions, delicious spices native to Mexico. There is not one item on the menu that I haven’t tried, and I can honestly say that ALL of them are delicious. There is always a line or wait here and for a very good reason. To pair off your meal with, their adult beverages are on point. I like sitting in the bar area and there is also patio seating available. My GO TO ❤️ iykyk"
"I ordered the combo plate with two crispy shredded beef tacos. It was delicious. The complimentary salsa was a great addition to the tacos and rice and beans. The outdoor seating area was comfortable in the fall weather of Sacramento. Overall I really enjoyed my lunch and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine."
