"I've had food here about 10 times but yesterday my whole family got sick. The butter chicken and Naan tasted good but apparently gave us food poisoning. Won't be going back. The atmosphere was never good and everything looked dirty this last time we went."
"This is my second time trying this place.I went on a weekend the first time I tried it and ordered from the menu it was so good we loved the food so I came back to try the buffet. The Buffet was delicious! Some of my favorite dishes were the tandoori, chicken, chicken, biryani veggie curry and daal . I loved the fresh buttery naan and hot tasty chai . I got to chat with the waitress for a bit and she was very kind. I'm Indian from Fiji, our food is somewhat alike and I think it was really good. Everyone go try it !"
"Authentic Indian food with very clean and spacious dining spaces. Food was delicious and the best part is that it is close to the airport. I recommend this restaurant."
"I read the amazing reviews but was shocked to see there was no menu online. Nevertheless I decided to go there but it was probably the worst decision I ever made. Everything we ordered was so bland. It felt like I was eating boiled food without any spices. I don’t know why the reviews are so good but honestly save yourself because this is nothing close to normal indian food. The only one star is for the server who was sweet and took care of us. Total damage was $70"
"Finding a locally owned great restaurant is like finding a diamond in the ruff. And when you do, there’s a feeling of uncompromising satisfaction. Well today on a whim, my wife and I decided to stop by a newish Indian buffet in near another eatery we visit often. We walked in knowing there would be a selection of good food because Sacramento has a great Indian food scene. However, we were blown away. You see, a great Indian restaurant starts with great naan bread. Here, their bread was fluffy, buttery, and charred just the right amount on the underside giving it a nice mouthfeel and flavor. Excited because of the delicious bread we went over to the buffet and started away in our eating journey. What I like about Benaares is the variety. There’s a lot of different types of dishes to choose from and all of them are familiar. You would think it would taste like all the other Indian buffets, but no, you’d be wrong. The food here is fresh, creamy, flavorful and the right kind of spicy. The lamb biriani rice is fluffy and delicate and flavorful. The butter chicken is so creamy and with the right amount of tang and spices that you want more with every bite. My favorite was the lamb paneer. It has that slow burn and numbing sensation that feels amazing when eating, yet you can taste the spices and enjoy the delicate melt in your mouth lamb. All in all, I would recommend and come back often. It’s a hidden gem in the middle of Natomas. Delicious food, good service, and affordable all you can eat."
