"Dined inside - cheeky decor inside a large partially cavernous room - cement floor for easy cleaning. Food was excellent and nicely presented. Pricing was higher than expected, but offerings were numerous. Flavors were spot on for the dish and each dish had a unique taste (not all the same with only a variation in the name or protein). If you go, know Spanish - everything is in Spanish and servers speak little English."
"I recently had the opportunity to try out a variety of dishes. While my overall experience had its ups and downs, there were a few standout items that I’d like to highlight. First and foremost, the Shrimp and Octopus cocktail stole the show. The combination of flavors and the freshness of the seafood were absolutely amazing. It’s a definite must-try for seafood lovers. On the other hand, I found the shrimp tostada to be a bit underwhelming. Although it had potential, it seemed to be missing that extra ingredient or seasoning to bring out its full flavor. Additionally, considering its small portion size, I felt that it was a bit overpriced. Moving on to the beverages, the Lemonade was a delightful surprise. Its refreshing taste was spot-on, and it complemented the meal perfectly. It’s definitely worth ordering if you visit this place. Lastly, I was a bit disappointed with the kids’ pizza. The photo showcased pepperoni, but sadly, the actual pizza didn’t have any. This inconsistency was a letdown, especially for younger diners who had their hearts set on that classic topping. Overall, my experience was a mix of highs and lows. While the Shrimp and Octopus cocktail and the Lemonade were impressive, the shrimp tostada fell short and the kids’ pizza lacked the promised ingredients. With a few adjustments, this place could really shine."
"Paid 25$ for shrimp soup and it was the worst soup I’ve had. It was basically all vegetables, no flavor whatsoever, the tiniest shrimp I’ve ever seen, I’m thinking from a can. And to top it off the carrots were not even cooked thoroughly, they were hard. Save your money people don’t come to this location."
"We went to the Diaz Ordaz location a few years ago and loved it. Today was our first time to the Lemon Grove location and I think it might be even better! We ordered a coctel de pulpo y cameron, una tostada especial, y un aguachon. It was all delicious and super fresh, but the aguachon really stood out. It had a great balanced spice that was addicting and I think is the best aguachile I've ever had!"
"A friend and I only went in here because the sushi place wasn't open yet. And it was SO GOOD! I only gave it 4 stars because my friend asked for a specific horchata they said they had, and they didn't have it. Then the drink she got, she didn't like. I ordered shrimp enchiladas, and they said they only serve them for breakfast. But the marinated fish I got was AMAZING. I mean so so good. I'd go back just for that. I'd like to see how their happy hour is as well. Plates are decently priced (About $10-20 depending on what you get) I'd recommend it for sure."
