"Lemon Grove Bistro exceeded my idea of good food in the area. came in with a friend on a weekday and wasn’t too sure what to order, menu is pretty mixed up, there’s something for everyone. my go to plate is always spaghetti, it’s my comfort food… wasn’t too sure if it was going to be good but it ended up being delicious, in fact it was the most delicious and satisfying plate i’ve had in a long time, yes it was better than my grandmas spaghetti. simply mind blown, didn’t expect that to happen. do I recommend, yes!!! just look at the pictures"
"I had really high hopes for this place. I knew going in that it was a little pricey, but I was okay with that. I expected the service, food and atmosphere to compliment those prices, but I was let down in that regard. When first walking in, you are greeted with a very loud sound of people talking, echoing throughout the place. I am not sure the fix, but maybe acoustic ceiling tiles to absorb the sound? Luckily we were placed in the back near the restroom, which offered a small amount of relief in sound, and it was starting to get less crowded, so that helped a little bit. We probably got used to it after awhile as well. I read several good things about the hamburgers, and I was in a hamburger mood, so I ordered the California Burger, as it comes, medium. My wife ordered the classic burger, well done, to share with our granddaughter, no onion jam. My burger and her burger came out first. My fries were already just warm. My wife was concerned when I gave a fry to my grand-daughter that it might be too hot. Far from it. Her fries were hot, but not mine. Neither was my burger. It wasn't cold though, so I still ate it. Her burger was supposed to have lettuce, tomatoes, etc, but had none of that. Our food was delivered by people other than our waitress, and for the 4 of us that ordered entrees, they came out at different times. Our waitress did not come back to check on us after the food had been delivered. I don't think she came back until we were done. My hamburger was good, but not great, albeit almost cold, or else you might see 3 stars from me. Four entrees and a glass of wine, and one passion fruit iced tea, $88."
"As a Lemon Grove resident I was delighted to finally eat at the Lemon Grove Bistro last night with my husband and two friends. RESERVATIONS: I found it super easy to make a reservation online through their website using Open Table (I even had to go back in and change the time and it was a breeze). The amazing thing was when we walked in the door one of the owners greeted us and when we said we made a reservation for 4, they greeted us by name. AMBIENCE: The ambience was warm, inviting, clean and modern while celebrating the history of being in the 1907 building that was the first General Store in Lemon Grove. Good choice of background music (light jazz). They also have a beautiful outside patio for dining that has native plants & a vegetable garden. MENU & CUSTOMER SERVICE: The food was excellent and prepared very well. I had the mushroom ravioli with a lemon & vodka cream sauce. Delicious! I love how they have incorporated lemons into many of the dishes on the menu. I think the best aspect of our experience was the customer service. As I mentioned before, we were greeted by name by one of the owners. Then we were welcomed by our server, Danny, and he was very friendly and attentive. Where they really went above was how they handled feedback from our friend who is a strict vegan. There were a lot of vegetarian options but not very many vegan options. The chef came out after the meal and apologized and talked with us for awhile about their new menu coming out in April will have more vegan dishes. He was genuine and listened well. In fact he took into consideration the idea to have a vegan side menu until the new menu comes out. Every person representing the Bistro was friendly, professional & genuine. I'm grateful to have this high quality restaurant in our little city and hope the Lemon Grove Bistro flourishes for many years to come!"
"A Culinary Delight at Lemon Grove Bistro I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lemon Grove Bistro, and it was an experience worth sharing. The moment you step into the restaurant, you're greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the tone for a fantastic meal. The highlight of the evening was, undoubtedly, the food. Each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and passion for culinary excellence. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, offering a succulent and flavorful experience. As for the pasta, both the spaghetti and the Penne Alla Vodka were simply sublime. The Penne Alla Vodka, in particular, was a delightful blend of creamy sauce and perfectly cooked pasta, making each bite a delicious journey. The dessert was another standout. It was not just a sweet ending to the meal but a highlight in its own right. It's clear that the same attention to detail and quality that goes into their main courses extends to their desserts as well. To complement the meal, the beer selection was impressive. It's rare to find a place that offers such a great variety of quality beers, catering to all tastes. In summary, Lemon Grove Bistro is a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. From the exquisite food to the great beer selection, every aspect of my visit was memorable. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Fries and Ranch another yummy option."
"This place is awesome the food is so good. They have a great wine selection and lots of space for outdoor eating. Parking is easy for now but once the word gets out about this Bistro there will be a line. The prices are $20 to $30 for a delicious meal. I will come back often."
