"Honestly the rolls I tried just weren’t very good. I’m a big fan of lemon salmon/lemon cilantro rolls and I get them everywhere I go. I ordered one here and it comes with a heavy layer of some sort of sauce and crunchy bits which disguised the taste of the salmon all together. Edit: yes I know I can order it without sauce etc but the picture showed a drizzle of sauce and it was covered."
"The food was fantastic. We had some of the best tuna money can buy. My son and I travel together a lot and his place was one of the top sushi restaurants we’ve been to. Ask for the head chef, André. WOW was he good!"
""casual" could be removed from the description to improve accuracy. I had decent/average food with the exception of the garlic edamame which I found to be quite good and would eat any of the items again. The salmon plate seemed to be a much better value than the rolls and it was of sufficient quality. I did not enjoy the environment of being sandwiched in between two tables of a dozen each of screaming people announcing "Sake bombs" every 4 minutes as my ears are still ringing even though I opted to put my headphones in for noise suppression. Just kinda awkward to get that "full on bar" experience at what is billed more as an eatery. But it was 8p on a Saturday so shame on me. The insulting part was the mandatory "large party fee" of 18 % for our table. Buyer beware. Our service was close to non existent so that adds to the difficulty in understanding the justification. We were _surrounded_ by large (obnoxious) parties and charged as if. Maybe this is the cost of trying to eat in PB maybe not. I'll take a hard pass next time. One and done."
"Great spot to get some good sushi. Highly recommend the salmon skin hand roll. Best I have had."
"A satisfactory experience with reasonable pricing and service. We entered on a busy Saturday night, be aware that the place gets packed! Out of the items we ordered, the Miso Ramen and the Chicken Yakisoba were the best; I highly recommend both of them. Our waiter was patient and friendly, and the food came out relatively fast, which we appreciated. If you're looking for some moderately priced Japanese food in San Diego, this is a great place to go."
